  1. We have 15" Mag's...but no 12's yet. I want to make sure the new design is perfect, and the two proto's we've received so far haven't been perfect. Hopefully this 3'rd one will be it and we'll start production RIGHT THEN! Honestly...the money is ready - I just want to be completely satisfied before starting the run of new, bigger, Mags (they're going to weigh ~10 lbs more each size).
  2. Very cool! Keep us updated with pics!!
  3. Thanks. Check out my reply.
  4. That is plenty of room - you'll have plenty of output, accuracy, and low-end.
  5. As squeak pointed out, the idea is neat...but putting a crossover point right in the critical area isn't such a good idea. The driver should sell though because a driver like this gives the point source guys a hard-on. Neat speaker though - kinda like an affordable Cabasse all-in-one speaker...but without the coolness of the Cabasse.
  6. Yep yep, the little bugger is pretty darned loud. And it doesn't sound too shabby either. The low end on the driver is impressive - very impressive. A pair of these little puppies will rock in ANY vehicle. The single 12 did very well in the teggy.
  7. What we recommend on our web page. 2 cubes tuned in the low 30's.
  8. Yeah, the doors are getting re-done as soon as I get another Koda or another component set. The rattles/buzzes kill me.
  9. If you're after SQ first and foremost, go sealed. If you want to knock your head off from time to time and still have great SQ, go ported. Jim heard the Mag ported...Loyd's car is ported, and I wish mine were ported. ...but with what I wanted to do, I didn't have room for ported.
  10. Yep, a frontal view will look very similar.
  11. Come on Aron Different diameter magnets, different number of magnets, different top plate diameter and height, different backplate diameter and height - I'd say it looks a bit different than the driver in your avatar...except for a frontal view. Good luck with the drivers though!
  12. Actually I check the forums less than I do my email. I'll put them on the scales when I get back to the office tonight.
  13. Nope, it won't kill it. It'll be just fine. Loyd's car, BTW, has an F3 of 22 Hz or so. Low end will be plentiful. BTW: Tuning to 32 or 30 Hz is fine as well. Going below 30 is what usually causes problems in larger vehicles, which is why we don't recommend it for car audio.
  14. WinISD should be used for port calculation alone, and nothing more. As much as it helps, it hurts. Take a Mag 12 at 2 cubes tuned to 34 Hz - doesn't look the best does it? Now listen to Loyd's car with that alignment and you'll never use WinISD the same. Loyd's car drops LOW, gets LOUD, and sounds great. Without getting carried away, don't use WinISD for response graphs and/or enclosure calculations. We've done our homework and what we recommend works out well in all vehicles. Getting more vehicle specific can change the enclosure volumes and tuning, but that requires a LOT of testing and a lot of expense.
  15. ^ What Tirefryr said. That'll be just fine.
  16. COOL! Yeesssss, SI is spreading all over the world now. Congrats on the scores too. And yeah, hook up your other batteries next time. Voltage is a good thing. PS: I edited your post to say Mag's instead of what you wrote before. I don't want MITEK breathing down our necks if the other word is used more often than it needs to be. Especially since they are Mag's now, and not the other word.
  17. Sealed off properly. Most people don't do that.
  18. I have never come across a car that liked the subs facing forward, ever. BUT, it can happen I suppose. If you can move your box around, try it both ways at first to see what sounds better.
  19. What car do you have? I'm a little confused as to facing them inside the car towards the rear seats? If you have a trunk I advise to NOT face them towards the rear seats, instead, face them towards the back. If you have an SUV, face them upwards or towards the rear.
  20. BM's not moving and making lots of SPL and SAZ-1500D's being as warm as the temperature of the cab = FTW! PWNED! ...or whatever this internet slang is supposed to be.
  21. Cool! You'll see soon that there is no hype, it's just what people think about them. The kings of LSQ are going to be delivered to you soon.
  22. Sweetness! I'm glad they arrived in one piece. 'never can tell with these shipping companies now-a-days. BTW: The pictures look GREAT!
  23. Audio Junkies should have them in stock in the next few days: http://www.audiojunkies.com/Categories/Bra...ereo+Integrity/
  24. Probably, but it will take +/- six to eight weeks.
  25. Nah, Jake wasn't there for the build. 34 is just fine for daily. Loyd's car is tuned close to that and his F3 is ~22 Hz. Transfer function is a glorious thing, and tuning around said anomaly can yield very good results.
