It performs very nice even with the rip and sort of popped but when i put up the volume it makes a popping sound every time it hits are these the tinsel leads hitting...

So my cousin sold me his RE SE 12 for 60 dollars saying it was popped well it's not realy popped but the coils are pretty dark. So either way I am going to RECONE it from FI. I am planning to throw 1000wrms what options should i add for that extra power handling. Honestly i would go sealed because you would have a flat response everywhere but i haven't seen how they perform ported but for home audio you have to tune low. Maybe you can go to the Home Audio forum see if they can help......

Those are Kerfed ports to achieve good tuning you need to be good at math because there are no free calcs for this... They are pretty hard to do and when done you have to apply fiberglass resin in the corners so it wont move...

I heard 1 12 Fi ssd ported and i could tell you it well sound better than the RE probably same loudness as two cvr's and sounded cleaner too. Think of it this is coming from one sub. Off a hifonics 1200.

interesting i was thinkin the FI BL was more comparable to the Re Sx, im thinking of replacing my sx 10 with a bl 10 some time soon The Fi bl with some options can prob out perform the SX. RE did make some nice woofers back then but now there good but just not as good...

The fi ssd cost 194 with shipping stock the RE is 160 but i think SSD is more comparable to the RE SX

You can try reconing 4 and wait for 4. That way you konow which ones sound better you know......

It is legit but that is the SE not the SEx but why dont you go for an Fi better?

Well to fix your problem you have to correctly tune your amp.... Or else you will be talking to Aaron about another recone. But i don't think they can make the VC better. It would probably take off some of the SQ or something but it will not sound the same.

Well state your budget? But from what you stated now maybe an Fi SSD can meet your needs OR the Fi BL. maybe off of a Hifonics 1200D. Can keep your sub stage just a little under 500.. BTW i don't think the Fi BL will be louder than both of your friends kickers. If you want loud bass it is not going to cost you a little..
