Sound Deadening?
Don is a cool guy, he does tell people ways to stop panels and such from vibrating.. but, to stop things from flexing you have to go a different route. To control vibration w/ sound deadener To control flex w/ sound deadener I've talked to people about Don and his ways and thinking multiple layers is a waste.. it's only a waste when you want to stop vibrations. If you need to stop flex, and stiffen a panel with sound deadener, covering a little piece of the panel isn't going to work.

curious.. What does it take to "become" a member?
So do you get invited? Or do you ask? Can you join just by slaping a SSA sticker on ur windshield, and then show a member as proof? Do you have to be competetive and run all SSA products? Submit videos, pictures? etc etc etc... lol I've always wonderd what it took to become part of a team, because I see them all over the site. Team DC, Team SSA, Team IAK, etc etc etc. I got invited. I assume you could ask. You don't join by adding a sticker to your window. You should run SSA products, even though I do not. You should compete. You don't have to post videos and such.

Boston Acoustics SPG555
Does anyone know any information on the Boston Acoustics SPG555? Is it a good performing woofer or just another mainstream average sub? http://www.bostonacoustics.com/SPG555-P567.aspx 555 cm2 of surface area 3¾ inches of peak-to-peak excursion 3½ voice-coil Radialvent® cooling technology Only 26 Lbs! Thanks to Neodymium Lightweight design RVC™ (Removable Voice Coil) allows coil to be exchanged without removing the woofer from the enclosure SPS™ (Soft Part System) removable assembly enables field repair of the cone/surround/spider assembly Can be field-stripped and custom painted, powder-coated, or plated Work in multiple enclosures, both sealed and ported Integral sealing gaskets simplify both standard and inverted mounting Available in 4-ohm and 2-ohm versions Reason I ask is because my brother is thinking about buying one. Thanks guys. On a side note, removable voice coil seems pretty user friendly

Welcome to the IHoP
Made an appointment for Tuesday to go to a shop and talk about getting some fiberglass work done on my truck.
-
1 out of 2 strapped 3500d won't power on
Chris thinks the transistor that handles the remote turn on function is shorted. Sending the amp into dB-r shortly.

Xcon 18 Sound Quality
I'm not sure you know a lot about subwoofers... The enclosure matters waaay more then the subwoofer. Now i've said that, the SMD isn't a high powered competition sub. It's a musical subwoofer meant to handle crazy amount of power and sound good doing it. IT IS NOT A BURP SUBWOOFER. This.

XCON on 1k
Well no shit there is no such thing as underpowering a subwoofer. I just didn't want to be wasting my time and money. Email Aaron if you must have his authority to power a damn speaker. I don't need anyones "authority" to power shit, just wanted some advice, don't be a douche dude.. It's okay, I wasn't in a hurry for an answer. I'm at full excursion with bass boosted songs and such, like decafs mixes while on full tilt, on regular music i'm golden. Thanks for the information Aaron I'll be upgrading

XCON on 1k
I most likely will, I just don't want it to be starving for Some insight from Aaron would be nice

XCON on 1k
My girl has an ICON on 1k in 2.5 cubes tuned to 32hz, i'm meeting full excursion on the subwoofer with our listening habits. I'm looking to upgrade to an XCON so it can handle the abuse better and so we can have possible upgrade(s) in near future. What are the Pros and Cons of upgrading? How does the XCON handle 1k? Looking for short and sweet answers Thanks guys! Dom.
