  1. Get a short USB cable, cut it and solder the wires directly to the board. Tie the cable somehow to the case so you don't rip it off. You'll probably need to get to the board though...
  2. For a few year's we've been lacking serious snow too. Send the snow my way, I won't mind
  3. Happy birthday x2
  4. Happy birthday !
  5. Plucking seems the less painful method out of the two.
  6. Looks like the gene pool needs a little chlorine.
  7. They don't even post some measurements, some T/S parameters, nothing. Very very limited information on Audioque's website.
  8. Make it objective, do a blind listen test on a few songs. Rip the song both ways. Keep them in separated folders. Re-rip the song back to full wav or whatever so they are the same size. Give the two folders to one of your friends. Have them keep track of what order they put the songs on the cd (256 320) and alternate randomly which one is first. Then he gives the disk to you and you guess. Take your time, use your stereo, your headphones, your truck and see. I think it will be enlightening. I probably should do this because one of the things I want to do now is get better at tuning. Problem is I would never be able to decide what song I would use. For tuning I start with some technical tracks (IE Autosound 2000 cd 102 I think). Has some percussion tracks which are perfect for midbass - sub integration and some tracks with very clearly defined center, far left and far right which are very good for getting the stage right. I set crossover points and independent speaker levels by listening to music I'm very familiar with and know how the tonality should be.
  9. Yep I've got an XJ on 35's with no lift Going to do a full width swap...arb lockers, probably 4.88's or 5.13's, exo cage...4 link rear on fox 2.0's, long arms on the front.. We like to play in the dirt Get the radius arms from the donor if you want to save some time. And if the donor is what I think it is Colby, why didn't you go for a bigger rear axle ? I despise it's guts Time for me to look for trails with less mud and more rocks. Counting stefanhinote, that makes 4 of us on here with Jeeps
  10. Good score ! One of my 8" ports would really gain some there. And with more power, a 10" would gain even more
  11. for vacation
  12. Looking good ! How big are the kickspods ? Do they vent somewhere ?
  13. If it's notchy when cold, change the trans fluid. That's what is causing that. You probably have a Synchromesh type fluid. It already has Redline MT90 in it. After I got the jeep I went around changing all fluids and the stealership recommended 80w90 Castrol. Couldn't shift into second when it was cold. Changed it with Redline MT90 and everything was much better. I'll probably give it a change soon, although it doesn't bother me too much. The long throw sucks, when going up a long slope or a very muddy road and I want to shift up for more wheel-spin, I can't do it fast enough. So I either end up stuck or under-revved.
  14. Paddles ftw. I would love that simply for the fact that it would mean I would be driving an Italian or Malaysian work of art, but I would really prefer to bang a shifter through it's gates. Speaking of shifting, what do you think about Hurst short shift kits ? I'm tempted to get one for the Jeep...boat rowing isn't my hobby. Do they have any parts that can wear fast ? I don't know about the Jeep kits. All I know about is Mustang kits. My dad is old school and uses only Hurst shifters. All his Mustangs have Hurst shifters. I've never had any issues with them and they improve the notchiness of a stock shifter, but there are other shifters for Mustangs I would choose first. i've got a Hurst in my Camaro and no complaints with it. SLP stuck them in their cars for most of the 4th gen F-body offerings Well then, that's my next mod. It's a top shifting gearbox and the T56 looks like a top shifting box too so I assume the design is similar. I was curious about wear and tear because Hurst wants $200 for one and sometimes they float around used, which means a better deal. It's only a bit notchy when cold, inherent with the AX15 from what I hear..but the throw is looong
  15. I missed it Was probably taking a shower then and hit the sack right after that.
  16. Croissants look delicious. Had some chocolate ones downtown today
  17. Just visiting...it was restored and opened for tourists this summer. Years ago you could visit it but it was in bad shape. We (me and dad) pass next to the salt mine every other weekend, when we go to the country house. Thanks to a good friend I found a bit of time and we decided to check it out. People from all over the country and even foreigners come to visit it. Needless to say, I'll be visiting again. And with a better camera. 31 worthy pics uploading, hurry up photobucket.
  18. Too Cool!! Did you see any eyeless fish? Salt water, it was in a salt mine. And I was scared shitless, first time on a row-boat.
  19. Happy birthday ! He might just pop up
  20. Been on a boat ride on a lake 300ft underground. Pics are uploading !

  22. Blasphemy, beers should be filled as they have been filled during the time of our ancestors !
  23. I really shouldn't post how one of your fixes looks after 1 minute of play time. Too bad the glue was bad, I really appreciate your patience to do such work. Especially on tweeters.
  24. Good vid Sean !
