Welcome to the IHoP
Fucking hell. 3 days and nights of work on a school project and couldn't get it done in time, which means I'll have to send it in autumn and possibly take the exam in autumn too. I hope I never see an fpga or development board ever. SOOO sick of this shit.

AQ1200D?
Why? Because he follows the band wagon. I hate how when someone says what they want cheap price at a certain power output and people still tell them to go with sundown even though its like 100+ dollars over what that someone's budget is or what else is out there for the same performance. The only other thing I'll recommend for the same power or close but cheaper in price is an Audiopipe AP15001D (1500 rms watts at 1 ohm) if you can find one. They usually go for 160-200 shipped with warranty. Buy from a dealer if you want manufacturer warranty. Buy off ebay if you want cheap price and still may get 1 year warranty through that ebay store that is selling it and also be able to get extra warranty through square trade really cheap. But if you really want the AQ1200 then get it or if you want the Sundown 1200 then get that but you won't hear a damn difference. You'll just get mad rep points for owning sundown and paying a lot for something you could have for less. Its may be just me but I hate spending more money then I have to. Ask anyone that has own an audiopipe AP or AQX line. See if they were unhappy at all. PS, I am not a rep for audiopipe. phi, you make me happy Apparently, I made someone mad. They gave me -rep. Damn, I'll need to get a sundown amp to up my rep. Fuck all that, I run Maxxsuckonics or something another. Team Cheap Shitty Amps. Interesting, since I know 3 AQ models very similar to maxxsonics models. But that doesn't mean you HAVE to run brand x or brand y

Anyone make frequent trips to u-pull it / junkyards ? I'm looking for a pair of hood vents from a LeBaron / New Yorker Turbo. Online places want $60-70 + shipping I'll pay extra to cover a few beers

iPad as new Head Unit
Line driver isn't neccessary imo. I have driven amps into cliping with an Ipod. Used it as a source for a 4channel amp + a sub amp. Worked like a treat, even for competing. Not much control except the volume though. I'll put my Ipod on the oscilloscope one day when I'm bored. Tested one 2 years ago...if my memory serves me right I measured ~1v full-unclipped volume. Ipad shouldn't be too much different if it has headphone output.

Welcome to the IHoP
Thats got to be nice. I think I got a lung infection the last time I made rings, even wearing a mask. Last summer I used to work with hat, protection goggles, mask and thick clothing to keep the dust away. This spring I found the dust collector and an old vacuum cleaner, no more dust. I have to find a way to attach the vacuum cleaner to the orbital sander and table saw. Had to cut 6 6.5inch rings and 2 10inch rings today. Filled the vacuum cleaner twice. I guess I just didn't think to hook the vac to the router cause I was outside. I was outside too. The vegetable garden is 40ft away from my workbench, having so much dust in the air can't be good. My vacuum cleaner is a few months older than me

Dust collection for the router is a wonderful thing. Zero dust in the air when cutting mdf rings

Welcome to the IHoP
I can't help you with materials but some of the things I learned : Cover everything up real good, you don't want resin on your dash or carpet, use packing tape, it doesn't stick to fiberglass. Take your time, practice to get the amount of hardener right, use a seringe for good dosage, mix small batches (I usually mix 100-180ml or so). I work without gloves and always keep a dirty rag to clean my hands.

lights flickering good ground.
Low voltage more than likely. Have you tried to see how low the voltage drops when the lights flicker ? It would be a good idea to do the big3 upgrade if you haven't done it yet.

SPL BOX ADVICE CHEVY CAVALIER
With that much power he is more than likely safe. We've clamped ~4200w on one btl 12 and were burping it at 42hz. 2.5cf box and 8 inch aero.

SPL BOX ADVICE CHEVY CAVALIER
Bump up the tuning and try a bigger box (3-3.5cf) with a single 6 inch aero so you can keep it short while testing and tuning.
