  1. fun fun got my 1500d in today looks brand new man. Another xcon build ftw! Glad it got there safe. Great doing business with you. Volvo is coming along nicely. Can't wait thats for sure. My truck is empty at the moment and it is getting to me. Slowly but surely, stock voltage scared me at first when it was idling w/12v and 13v down the road, thought "fuck, I can't even run the 1500d with the gain set super low" but the added wire solved that. Worst feeling is going from bass to no bass, it seems I have a setup for 3 months then go without for 3 months then start over lol. On the bright side, your trucks faster for the time being

  3. Shizz could probably help, or dbeez from CA.
  4. buy some more 3/8" nuts with a different pitch.

Bought a saz1500d from S.DeYoung last week, received amp today. It's in perfect condition, can't even tell it was used. Packaging was top notch, UPS would have had a hard time breaking it Thanks again.
  6. Well they'll take some abuse for short runs, so as long as you use some common sense and look for signs of stress you'll be okay.
  7. Not sure how well the sa8s will handle 1kw each...
  8. He was getting too old....lol its just supposed to go along with the talk show theme.. It's all just for fun He hasn't come out with any more talk shows since that one. Im glad, that video/talk show was horrible even if it was for fun. He got some nice numbers with the one 12" though, wish he would of gave more info besides 1000 watt test amp and what enclosure specs he had. it's a 2.3 cube box with an 8.25" diameter Flared round port Win.
  9. It's too old for twisted. he had it for nearly a month maybe?

Have you tried disconnecting your master amp and running the slave as the sole amp, and seeing if it cuts off at high levels? Perhaps this could eliminate some of the possible problems.
  12. yeah, or on the flip side, you have some companies that have a website yet use personal email addresses
  13. yep. that's a fact. Now someone can quote this

I hope you get tickets. Dare you to have a few drinks and drive...please not enough to hurt anyone, just enough to get yanked and a DUI. lols. I don't understand some peoples philosophy on fucking with others... So bright I can blind oncoming traffic, I want bass so loud it wakes the neighbors, i wanna be heard a mile away, how do i make it louder outside the vehicle, how do i get more flex, dude put some train horns in your car and scare people, and the list goes on. And for the record, I'm planning on putting hids or legit projectors in my car when I have some extra money, I love being able to see where I'm going in the middle of the night But there's a time and place for everything, and I sure as hell aren't going to be blinding people or using them to their fullest extent in the city.

This thread could easily be renamed "food"
  16. I'm not the OP, but if he got the coils in s4 then he could have wired them to 1ohm or 4ohms, vs D4 and .5 or 2 If your trying to find out if the amp is .5 stable or not, well your gonna get a lot of mixed answers. Some will say as long as you have enough electrical to back up the amp then you can run the sundowns to .5 for daily. Others will say wire for .5 for short burps for comps, and rewire to 2ohms for daily. Or they'll get into box rise / imp rise and say the amp will rarely ever see .5 and therefore it's fine for daily. Personally I'd stick to 1ohm and up. Hope this answers your question per say and not me going off on some random tangent
  17. Yep, awesomeness. Zcons are nuts, brute force while maintaining some linear response.
  18. x2, I've personally heard them and their insane. Talk to Mark or Aaron about getting a pair perhaps
  19. Oh yeah, xcons here you come When I heard xcons in the past, I thought, wow this is super loud yet sounds good, nothing bad at all. This is a sweet driver, but I'm not spending 800bucks... Good luck with your new setup, fi products do not disappoint loved my bl, just like I loved my icons, but in a different way
  20. Couldn't be worded any better.
  21. BTL. the btl has a new series, I believe the n1, n2, nsg. I believe the n2 would be the "daily driver" where as one of the others is spl tones only.
  22. The calculator I used must have been way off or I inputted a wrong dimension do this^, op.
  23. The only difference between the 10" driver and 12" driver is output, depending on the enclosure. The larger driver will not have less sq. But depending on the enclosure, one could have more or less output, or more or less linear response. I would go for the 10" ported, it fits your dimensions well and I believe it would have more output then a sealed 12"
  24. do you mean sealed 12 compared to ported 10? From your max dimensions it looks like a ported enclosure for a 10" Q would fit well. I came up with 1.6cubes from max dimensions, and driver displacement is 0.12, and specs from fi is .5-1.2 cuft @ 28-33Hz. So after driver displacement and depending on your actual box dimensions, you should fall into the higher spectrum of recommended volume. You can always tune lower to even out the response so to speak. Say ~29hz. What subwoofers have you owned / heard in the past? What sounded good to you? I understand you want SQ, but sometimes people get the idea that spl geared drivers such as the bl or btl aren't musical, and that's not the case
