  1. Mine will be on a DC 5k, Bc5500 or something DD, just looking for a deal
  2. I think on June 6th.if they get here before July 4th I will be stoked. My truck is normally used for the music in a huge firework show. It's always really cool but may not make it this year
  3. I sold my Q's to a local guy with a S10 extended cab truck. He wanted to be able to see out of the back window and not wall it. There is very little room to work with but I managed to get 10.8cu after all displacement and bracing etc. Subs forward and port firing up, I have heard this is the way to go in these little S10's so hopefully it is loud and sounds good on music. This guy will be eating the steering wheel but this is what he wants, he is much smaller than me so I guess its not big deal My new shop tables, huge and I love them. The box is on the small side but hopefully it will be ok. Here is what I have done His truck is red so this subtle add of red in the port and in the flush mount trim is a nice touch I thought. I will post pics installed in a day or so if someone wants to see.
  4. Damn, you sound like me changing shit before you even get use to it, LOL Looks great
  5. 25.2 Were you guys running it locally or any sanctioning body? Just a Friday night fun car. Didnt really fit into many classes well because of low power and big chassis, etc. The plan was to drop Big Twins in later and run 7's or so but lost interest in a drag only car. But Lantz I wouldnt worry much about buying another Mustang. Dude you have tons of time to blow money on cars, LOL. I feel old now.
  6. Here is the 03 we just sold. Me and a friend took roughly 1.5 years to complete. Its a bad mofo, sold a few months ago though. Car had 27k original miles when we bought it. I made a few 9 sec passes in it. Was super fun coming off the trans brake and the car had a KB 2.8 Mammoth Kit and Powerglide, 9in and spray but never did put the bottle to it. If you like trucks and speed look into a SRT-10. You can pick them up for a deal and they are really nice and will flat get. I also had one of those on a 175 shot and I tell you, that SOB was a monster! Here is my 03 Saleen I also had. This car was a ton of fun and would hook like a bitch. Sorry, talking cars gets me alittle carried away, LOL Car audio is just my second hobby
  7. Resin over screws and no more issues
  8. I would look into a 03-04 Cobra for sure if that what you like. I am a Mustang guy at heart and have had several. I would look on svtperformance.com in the classifieds
  9. Just ordered some Crescendo FT1 tweeters and a set of PWX 8in mids for the doors. They are on back order but the subs will take awhile anyway.
  10. I would do 5 cubes tuned to your preference
  11. I cant wait to see how yours turns out?? I just ordered two 18in SP4's and would also like to run DDM4a. Now the long wait begins, My box is tuned at 30hz and on the larger side at 14.2cu.ft. Hoping that mine does very well. I would shoot for 30-32
  12. As much as I love the Q's and were amazed how loud, low and clean they sound I sold them and the Crunch amp. Curiosity killed me so I just ordered two fully loaded SP4 18's. I am also redoing the whole front setup and maybe doing full door panels, either 2 sets of components or some Pro audio gear will go in. My alt is being sent back to Mechman for an issue. I just need to pick out a amp. Probably will end up with a BC5500 unless a DD M4 pops up. Also gonna build a leather console that hold my Ipad.
  13. The Q seems to be real popular for home use. I would look into that option.
  14. And be very hard to sell down the road. IMO

  18. If you have an electric drivers seat you can use a pole or stick to put between gas pedal and drivers seat and use the electric slider to push the seat/pedal to desired RPM. ghetto but will work in a pinch

Most people show videos like this but with a bottle on there trunk or roof. How about one from roughly 15ft away with a half full water bottle. LOL This gives alittle better idea of what Q's are capable of. They are still breaking in some and are really waking up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISs8Lo65UOo
  20. People will do anything to get out of work nowadays.. lol jk Get well soon
  21. You are a patient man. I would have chalked that one off two weeks ago. lol
  22. It is strange, I hope the alt is good, SOB was expensive. I only have a 250amp fuse up near the battery. Based on my volt meter which the power goes into the amp + with the main power wire, and it is grounded up front at a factory ground location. I would think that its reading accurately. I calibrated it with a dmm at idle. At the 11.2 Volts that I have seen, 2800 watts should have popped that fuse if I am figuring correctly. I have a 3k and a 600 watt amp. I must be leaving alot on the table?? The box the alt came in said it tested at 178amps at idle and 279 at full output. My Optima's are 3 years old and rest at 12.5 with the truck off. When the stock alt was in and the SAZ1500 the Volts would hit low 12's high 11's at idle. What ground would be bad? The amp where the voltage is reading?
