Indeed, that guy certainly believes in his product.
  2. Why are you bumping this? I'm sure a check or money order would suffice.

Just one more reason to do your own work whenever possible. Most shops will rape you every chance they get, $500 to change a timing belt and water pump seems very high. I've never worked on a crx before but this is a pretty simple job that shouldn't take them more than an hour or 2. Sounds like they kept the car all day and charged you for several hours labor.

    Absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing
  5. Nice ride, I think a Q or Xcon would be a great choice.
  6. In that case, I'd use a single, large, 1 ohm stable 2500-3500 rms amp
  7. I see there will be 18s now too.
  8. Any of the above mentioned amps would be good choices.
  9. Southern grannies ftw, no bailout down south.
  10. Thanks for taking the time!
  11. I think I'm going to pick up one of those 500 amp testers the next time I go up there.
  12. I think the old ones accept 8awg and the larger ones are for 4awg
  13. Definitely scary
  14. I'm not sure where you should start with that, maybe finding someone who builds vaults could help?
  15. Might be best to steer the customer to someone who knows what they are doing concerning extreme spl builds? Not trying to put you down in any way, just that this seems like it may be a bit beyond your current skill level.

Where do I find Country Club malt liquor?
  17. The Sundown at 4 ohm would probably be easier on the electrical system and produce a cleaner signal than the RF at 1 ohm.
  18. I like to ground the amp to the battery negative when they are close together, I wouldn't run a ground cable all the way from under the hood to the amp in the back though.

    That's great news Aaron!
  20. I haven't noticed any Xcon 12s lately, only 15s and 18s.
  21. Always willing to help out a fellow Logan. I'm beginning to see more and more folks with my name as the years go by.
  22. Look at you, posting pics like a pro. I don't see any burn marks in there, is there anything that is loose? Maybe there is nothing wrong and you're just expecting a little too much out of this amp?
  23. Nice and informative, I like it. How about some tips on applying the dustcap neatly as alot of recones I've seen lately are quite nasty.
  24. Anywhere from 2500-3500 will really get a pair of Xcons moving. I think you have plenty of room in there, the only problem might be getting the box through the actual trunk opening. You could also upgrade to a single 15" Zcon and that would ramp up your output a good bit and require a smaller enclosure than a pair of Xcon 12s. The amp you have now makes enough power to saitisfy that beast too.
