Hello SSA! I am selling my Type-R to a friend soon, and getting a Soundstream T5-10 from another friend. I just sold the amp I was using on the R so I could buy a new amp for it, but now this opportunity has presented itself. I am looking for an amp that can do 800-1000 watts at 1 ohm, for around $200. I've been looking around, but all the ones i've found have been Maxxsonics products, which never really do their rated power. Any suggestions from you guys would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I think those are more like concert drivers than car audio ones. But if someone got the T/S on them and put them to use, I'd bet they would be awesome. Unlike some other company's giant subs (here's looking at you, MTX).

I agree that that GMC is very well done, and I acknowledge that it took a shitload of skill, but in my opinion, that is incredibly ugly... I like the SLS, and I usually don't like Mercs very much. The Ariel Atom is awesome too.

nice 1st gen B, i'd tell you to check out Scikotics, but i'm not sure there is a chapter up there. Good to see an xB with a nice system. Most of the b's in the DFW scikotics are more show oriented with wheels and coils and custom grills and underglow and stuff, but then you actually ride in it and you can't hear anything over the fart can they put on it. Hi, I am effse7en (like spell check). I have a 98 Chevy Malibu, with an Alpine CDA-105 head unit and an Alpine Type-R 12" running off of an Eclipse XA-1200 amp. It's alright, but I think I might sell the setup to a friend and get 2 SA-8's on about 1000 watts. I found SSA because I was actually looking into the SA-8, and found the post about the pre-sale. I looked around a bit and I A-wanted to see the rest of the posts, and B-liked what I saw. See y'all in the forums!

Thanks Just got back from Lowes. Is it just me or are wood prices going up?? 1 4x8 sheet was $27.84 + tax. I thought last time I bought some it was like $21 a sheet. + $15 in gas.. I hate living in BFE! weird, when I bought my 3/4" back in December, It was only 25 bucks. Maybe there's an issue with distance from the distributor or something. Also inflation, but I don't think that it would go up that much very fast.
