I thought it would be cool to have the AA mid or Mach5 mid in a BIB and Ixl15 in a sontube, and keep it all ssa, plus the tweeter ofcourse... if its possible.

I was searching another diy forum and they seem to conclude thatt the BIB horns were quite forgiving of building somewhat off the guidelines set for each driver. Looking at the extended bass horns with the normal 6.5 drivers on their webpage, could you run a 6.5/7 in 2 way system with a BIB. Say for instance i have some AA poly mids laying around, would they work or would it be an experimentation type ordeal? Also is there any way you could have 2 or 4, 3in mid ranges (just an example) in a BIB? There are t-line designs that are 2-way, and the tri-trix is visually similar, but what do yall think?

Can someone explain to me what the measurements go with like for example: sm, and the line measurement? Also is the Fostex FF165 a good choice?

There is no way to measure to SQ. I would propablly run like 800 or so to the pair, or maybe just get an sae1000d.

These subs are meant for daily apps too rite?

I believe the 8 was like $50 or $55 plus shipping. It seemed like everyone with a reg cab truck run them for a while, and bought like 4 at a time.

I would think that if they were priced at around the same as the re8 pre buyout, then you could sell 1 or 2. I know i would buy a couple.

Four 6 inch aeros/pvc ports would look hot, and give you your desired port area.

Sorry I was referring to a round over plate for the port, that would just screw onto the box externally and eliminate that sharp edge and look cool. Maybe you could do that in blue as well. If those are 6 in pvc ports, how much port area does that give you, around 56-57 sq inches? and also whats recomended for the rl-p 18? Also what the box height exactly? sorry for all the questions lol

It looks sweet and i love the touch of blue added in. Maybe make a round over covering to go on on the outside of the box similar to the one in hellboy or those kicker prefab boxes, if you know what im talking about.

Have you tried any other box sizes? I would be very interested to see how they do in a larger and smaller box... I have heard recc. ported box was 1 cube per 8, but if you are happy with them in about .65 cubes per, I may have to give them another look at that price point.

I know the spl, 8, and ixl series are on their way, but whatever happened to the mli-65 towers or plans or anything related to HT with the mli-65s????

If its a close fit, you could always cut out a circle a little larger than the magnet, on the back of the box, and then fiberglass over that. That would give you more depth and you wouldn't have to worry about cooling issues, but only if its a tight squeeze in the first place.

Alrite thanks guys. I was really more interested in the 10 as im looking at getting propablly a CC Titan... but does anyone know the real sealed and ported rec. air space for the rl-i 10? or is it really more build and listen, then change things up?

hmm... anyone else using rli 8/10 currently, specificallly in a truck.
