  1. Oh, that sounds good. I'll put some good thought into it. When and if I decided to order it would I just call and go from there?
  2. Hey, i totally understand about you guys being busy. It's fine. But, I don't know if I'm too keen on spending 630$ on a 270xp. I just don't have that kind of money right now. I really can't spend over 350$ or so on an alt. I was looking more into the 180 amp alts.
  3. Well, they're always replying to everyone else except me . I understand that they're busy and what not. I'm in no rush.
  4. Yeah, go for 1 15" in a 3.5ft^3. Fi BL or an xcon or an icon. Sub is up to you.
  5. Tuning is up to you and what you like. They recommend 32hz just because it's the most "musical". For the most part daily setups are tuned to 30-35hz based on preferences and recommendations. Now this site is the only site that i have seen still carrying the saz-1000d.Saz-1000d If you want the saz-1200d then get it because it will give you a good bit of headroom. and like everyone else has said, set your gains and subsonic filter accordingly. Set the subsonic 2-3 hz under the tuning of your box.
  6. Hello I have a 3.4l v6 Chevrolet Impala and I'm wondering if you carry and alternator for my car. I am going to be running a sundown saz-2500d and most likely 200 more watts for speakers. I would say roughly adding 2700 watts extra to my car. Now, if it happens that you do make an alternator for my car I'm wondering if you have a bracket so i can run it with my stock alternator. Let me know, thanks. -Jay
  7. I was just going by the recommended enclosure sizes in the tech section.
  8. Well you either get a box thats 1.2 cuft for the BL 10 or you get a box thats 2.5cuft for the BL 12. The 12 will obviously have more cone area which will yield more output in the right install. It's up to you now. If you care more for space then get the 10. if you care more for output then get the 12. But if you decide to get the 12 DO NOT make a box to small for it. A BL 10 will perform better in an optimum space enclosure then a BL 12 would in an enclosure that is to small for it.
  9. Don't mean to hijack but I was planning on the getting the BL but I really like the N2. I understand now that the N1 is geared like the Q. So, i was thinking that since the n2 is like the gen2 BTL it should better results in output than the BL would. I'm using an Saz-1500d v.2. All in all, if you think the N2 would yield more output than the BL on around 1500 watts then i wouldn't mind spending a little more. Plus, i could always add power to the n2 down the road if I wanted to.
  10. It's the risk you take. I wouldn't.
  11. In most cases it does.
  12. Oh alright. Gotcha.
  13. Um, no. Well, I would think that if you had an SSD on 1200 watts and a BTL on 1200 watts then wouldn't the BTL be louder due to the fact that the BTL is built to have more output in general?
  14. No doubt. I didnt know if a 12" ported would be more output than a 15" sealed though. Thanks for the reply. And that my friend is why I said ported! Because a ported 12 in will most likely have more output than a 15 in sealed thus my answer was ported.
  15. I would do what other people say. Since you say you do have enough room for a 7.5 cuft enclosure then recone the 18's to 15's since you said one is messed up already and put those in the 7.5cuft. Or recone to 12's and put them in a 5 cuft enclosure. Don't put 2 18's in a 7.5cuft box because that's probably how your other one busted. ha
  16. well its going in the trunk of my 96 blazer and itll fit in there pretty good so ill play around with it and see how it sounds When you said trunk, people in here thought the trunk of a sedan or an actual car which is closed off to the cabin. In this case, this is a whole new scenario. Usually subs up port back leads to more output in that type of car. Chevrolet Blazer if I'm not mistaken. But next time it would be better to specify more about your setup so people won't become confused and mislead.
  17. BTL has more motor force. If cone area, power, install are same, then BTL would be louder because of more motor force. I don't know about night and day though.
  18. We can't tell you what exactly you will need because we aren't there doing it for you. But here's what we can recommend. If you run the saz-2500d at 1 ohm you will need electrical upgrades. Here is what you should try in order. Big 3, Battery or Batteries, High Output alternator. The saz-2500 draws a lot of current. You need power to make power. With the Saz-1500d you will probably need to do the big 3 and have an extra battery. Anyways, 2500 watts is a lot for those subs. SSDs are rated at 800 watts and with that amp you'll be giving them 1250 watts each. It may take it, but then again they may not. It really all depends on the install. Since you said you are new, I'd personally play it safe and go for the saz-1500d and run it at 1 ohm for 750 watts to each sub. make sure you get Dual 1 SSDS so you can wire to 1 ohm. Hope I helped.
  19. I'm not interested until they build a subwoofer that is louder on the OUTSIDE instead of on the INSIDE. Just like the w7.
  20. Right, I got that, but you know damn customers never listen to recommendations I was also told the IA Warden was an SPL driver- which by all means it is- but I got a nice response within .6db from 30-45Hz. I don't mind if it's a bit peaky- but if the N3 will put up better numbers and still sound ok I'd rather go that route. Well knowing Fi, it probably will have some nice quality to it but with that kind of question i guess we won't know until it is tested. I would expect the n3 to have a much tighter gap though. I would just stick to the n2 as a daily setup.
  21. Q 18's sealed or SSD 18's sealed next best bet.
  22. 5 sa-8s would be louder due to more cone area and motor force in the right application of course. Sa-8s would take up more room if you gave each woofer .8cuft which makes 4 cuft. 2 sa-12s will only need 1.75cuft ea so thats 3.5 cuft. So louder=5 sa-8s or little more space=sa-12s. I doubt you'll hear a huge difference because two 12's is 226.19 and 5 8's is like 251.xx. Up to you now. Hope i helped.
