  1. I bought some 1awg wire on sale from wireandsupply for a ground from front to back. it's kinda heavy and stiff too. I can definitely feel the difference between pure copper and cca weight.
  2. Not that I know of, he say it stays a 14volts but I don't know how accurate the stock volt meter is in the cluster panel Looking back on it now, I would have done it different too like a kerfed port on the bottom.
  3. Yesterday while I was driving, my amps cut off and today I found out is was my saz1500 causing a short in my remote wire. I pulled it out and looked at the inside and it looks to be some solder in between my remote and ground terminal touching. I've email dbr but I probably won't get a response today because it's Sunday. I was thinking I could just remove the solder but my question is what would cause this to happen and would it happen again?
  4. Went to a comp today and place 2nd in AS3 and got phat install. @37hz with my car off and passenger side door open playing lil wayne thats all i have
  5. the vertical brace came loose again and started to rattle really bad so i just took it out, until I come up with a better way to brace. aslo i am having alternator problems so i put my stock one back on but i still have the same problem just not as much. It seems that my alternator just quits and shut off at random times. I went to a local car show today at The Speakerbox and they had a DB contest. They had 2 class, less than 3000 watts and over 3000 watts, I came in third in the less than 3000 watts. this was my highest and it was on music playing dj monsta bass dropwith driver's door open. the mic was meca style at the headrest.
  6. I have no experience with walls, but you could just make a regular square box then fill in the sides with trim panels, just a suggestion.
  7. 2 more pics with a better camera, also im going to put another coat of paint in the port
  8. Bought the subs from Kevin at Skar Audio The big 3

  11. This is a build I'm doing for a friend. 2000 Jeep Cherokee 2 Sundown SA-15 Hifonics Brz-1200.1d Cadence 4awg wire kit Everything should be arriving sometime this week. 7.31ft³ @31.24hz 101.72in² port area The box ended up being bigger than I expected, I misread the torres box calculator and is .75inch taller. I still have to glue down the top baffle, but I'm going to wait to make sure the subs fit. Thats it for now until the equipment arrives.
  12. made me a battery holder but i had to assemble it inside the trunk, I wish i thought to do it before I put my box in i was able to get my rear speakers to fit too
  13. Sorry to get off topic, but I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I was wondering is SSA going to make a 4 inch coil woofer in the future?
  14. I took out the vertical dowel rods and just replace them with this, and it sounds much better.
  15. Did a little work today, and I had a real bad rattle and I finally realized it was inside of my box, so im guessing one of my braces broke, so tomorrow im going to pull it out and redo it. Also I'm thinking about carpeting everything with black carpet later too.

  18. The guy at lowes was giving me tips and told me I should build Labyrinth port "because of the more vibrations it would be louder" I used my jig saw to cut out the metal. i bought me a corner clamp made & it made it alot easier, i should have bought 2. test fit, nothing went as planned it wouldn't fit with the top on the t nuts came out when i tried to screw the sub in cutting my 45° rounded over the port wall i painted it black for right now, i want to add carpet to the front and try to clean it up a little the rear deck scrapped when I was pushing the box in thats it for tonight
  19. how it arrived, but nothing was broke I redone my terminals & put some 8gauge wire in How it look now until I build me another box and clean everything up Now at 1ohm my lowest voltage drop was 11.8v, i'm going add another battery too.
  20. old school lanzar midbass, im going to make a pod from my super tweet and put it higher up on the door later My attempt to put my amps in my backseat. originally I wanted to carpet it with old carpet, but it wasn't enough to cover the whole piece of wood so i just painted it black until I would have bought some more carpet but I like the look of the black paint, so im probably going to redo it with 1/4 mdf and paint black also I should get my xcon back monday too
  21. I bought this sax100.4 from fuzzyping, great guy to work with.
