Today I took 10 min out of my day to go to besbuy and get some splitters and bridge my amp. Got a pack of 2 Kicker splitters for $15. Not too bad. But talk about an improvement... sounds sooo much better. Tweeters are alot crisper. And the woofers are much clearer. Now each side is seeing 190wrms.I have the gain about a 1/5th of the way up. And is perfectly clear untill 29 on the volume knob. (Out of 35 I think.) I have a Kenwood. So I think I need to turn it down just a tad. So I can get 30 with no distortion.

O ok. Sweet. So just like a d2400 up front and I should be good? That would be nice. Also, I was talking to kyle from DC, and he had a avalon witht the same engine as my Camry. And he was satin somethin about the d2400 was reverse( or not reverse... can't remember.) And that he just had the positive terminal go to the starter?... something like that. Any of that sound like somethin u have heard being done before?

Bought a Sundown saz-1500d today. He said he's shipping it tomorrow! Im excited. Question... im getting a 180xp alt from DC at the end of the month and I was wondering... 1) which should I do first? Upgrade my primary batt, get a second batt, or just wait till I can do both at the same time ? Im just not to familiar with the whole electrical part. Current batt is a walmart with 765 cold crank amps. (Idek if that's good.) Lolz. Im also ordering a design for my box. Doing kerfed port annd double baffle. 7.5ft^3 is about right correct? Its right within the optimal specs. thanks and stay tuned.

It doesn't matter what sub you are using. You aren't going to hear a difference between 1500w and 2kw. If this setup isn't for SPL competitions and is designed primary for daily listening, then don't worry about the extra 500w regardless of subwoofer. If you plan on actually competing in a serious manor then yes, the larger amp would be a better investment. But otherwise, it's unnecessary. i will probly go to a few competitions just for shits and giggles. not on a daily basis though. i found the saz2000 for $400. buying it tonight.

Thanks jay. U have been alot of help. I already have a second rca runnin from the HU since I thought I would be using it. But I will just use that one for my sub amp and get some splitters. So when I put a splitter the left rca, do both of the male ends on the splitter become left? Or one left and one right?

Ok... so I decided that the Bravox comps are plenty. I hooked up the type r's to the amp and set them in my backseat... not even all the way in the hatch where they would go. And I honestly couldn't even hear them over my comps. So there's absolutely no way I will be able to hear them over my sub. So... now I want to bridge the comps. I've searched on how to do it. But only found how to setup the speaker wire. Not the rcas. Do I just need one rca and 2 splitters? Or just 2 rcas. Or either would work? Thanks -jonathan

It gets on the tweeter grill. Im not changing the mounting location. Lol because I did flushmount. So I would have a nice hole. O well, I don't really ride with the windows down in the rain much anyways... who would? I jjust noticed one day when I went to smoke and it was barellllly drizzling. But its ok. I don't really smoke in my car anymore. I don't want it to start smelling like butt. No pun intended.

Well, I have the cash for the sundown. But I make min wage so it takes a good while for me to save up for a new addition to my setup. But how can the soundstream deliver 2200 watts and only have 4ga powers and ground? I've never seem that b4. I've always seen that most amps 1500+watts have the ability to accept 0ga. Hmm o well.. and I do kno how annoying this vs that threads can get considering they are mostly opinionated...im just curious about spending $140 extra for a amp that puts out about the same power. Ill probobly end up going with the saz2000d. But just want peoples opinions.
