  1. O wow. Ok... any other suggested places for oxygen free copper at .25$ per foot or cheaper?
  2. well, it turns out they have only 21 ft in stock...think tht might be cutting it close?
  3. my HU has rear, front, and sub outputs. so since the kit comes with one set of RCAs... i just need to buy one more right? also, i should go ahead and buy more speaker wire right? the kit comes with 12ga . so just get more of that? also, can i use 12ga for my subs when i get them in?...i think ill get like 30 ft. just to be safe. Yeah jus buy one more set..then keep the 12g for subs but with another amp kit it will be fine...But get 16g for speakers 12g is a bit too thick and isn't necessary. so just get some 16ga for the speakers and use the 12ga from the kit for the subs?... 30ft should be plenty right? better safe than sorry. lol

  5. thanks for all the responses. so im about to oreder the amp kit from KnuConcepts. it comes with one set of RCAs. i will need another set in order to run all 4 channels right? thanks
  6. I was kinda thinkin the same thing. I mean...s especially if those 2 channels will just be sitting there not being used. And if I decide I don't hear them much, then I can always take em out later.
  7. Awesome. I will buy the 8ga amp kit from Knu later today. When everything gets here...expect alot of questions about install. Thanks everyone. -Jonathan
  8. Ok. Gotchya. So if I do decide to not bridge them, ca I leave the 2 other chNnealS unused without problems?
  9. So if I were to run t bridged, then I would be ok as long as im gentle on the gain? Exactly, but if you are worried or don't know what your doing, then don't take the chance by bridging them. First install = Haha. I mean, if the gain knob is the.onlly thing that could blow them... then as long as I don't turn it up too far, I wil be ok bridged right? If not...what other factors play into the czhance of blowing them?
  10. So if I were to run t bridged, then I would be ok as long as im gentle on the gain?
  11. So ur saying, es it is too much power but do it anyways? Haha. What do you mean by headroom? I jus don't wanna blow them.
  12. Ok. Kool. Thanks. So any other thoughts on leavin the 2 channels of the amp unused?...is that doable?
  13. O ok.but mounting it in the stock location would sufice right? I mean, it wouldn't sound bad right?
  14. so if i were to do rear fill (im not) then i would have 2 sets of RCAs? or do they have splitters? idk how that would work considering i think theres only 2 sets on the HU. (one for sub...) check out my HU... http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113HD545U/Kenwood-KDC-HD545U.html?tp=5684
  15. as little fabrication/custom work as possible = best for me. haha also, since i probobly wont be doing rear sound, do i run the bravox comps bridged? (double the RMS) or can i just run the 2 channels and leave the other two alone.?
  16. guess thats true. u have no idea what my car sounds like. haha. and i guess i could try. if they dont fit, i should mount them closest to the woofer as possible for optimal sound right? also, if i dont do rear fill, (probly wont) would i just cap off the wires/connections?
  17. ahh, gotchya. i want hella bass. haha. but im thinkin i might wanna sell the L7s and get a Xcon...? but thats for another thread. gotta keep this one on topic. lol
  18. o ok. so the kit is full copper... kool. i mean, can u really hear rear fill once the subs are in? i have a stock tweeter location... is there a way to put the tweets there? didnt think they would fit...
  19. of course. i have 2 Kicker L7 12" (2009 model) i gotta really good deal. i just need a box and amp(sundown 2500.1). and the BIG 3. i will have to have wires coming from both amps right?
  20. ouch on the price of the amp kit. 1. Denim said 8ga would be good... dont think so? 2. is there that big of a difference btwn say...kicker amp kits and some non-brand name amp kit? 3. passive is when u go from amp, to crossover, and then to tweet and woofer. right? 4. so no rear sound in your opinion? this means i would have to run the Bravox's bridged right(that would be about double RMS)? or can i leave 2 channels not used? 1. i heard Knu has some kind of wire that isnt full copper?... 2. so you also recomend no rear sound? 3. my stock spekers are 6.5". and the comps are as well. so they should be fine in the stock location right?
  21. let me start off by saying that this is my first install of any kind. so please bare with me if i seem like a complete . haha. ok...so, in the mail on the way to me i have: - a set of Bravox carbon fiber components (6.5") - Boss Audio Zed Made Havoc REV-665 - a set of Alpine 5x7 type R's (might use for rear fill. not sure yet. got them cheap so...) i have a Kenwood kdc-HD545U (still new and not installed). my electrical, audio, etc is completely stock. i have a 1994 Toyota Camry wagon V6. i know some of my questions could be "answered" by google. but i prefer to get all my info from the knowldgeable people here at SSA some of my questions: 1. what do i need in order to install my amp and speakers? i was told by Denim that 8ga would be good for the amp. should i just buy a cheap amp kit with everything in it? or buy it in pieces? if recomended to buy in pieces; then maybe a complete list of things needed for the install...that would be great. 2.also, i was told by ///M5 to use baffles for the speakers. i dont even kno what those are. lol. 3. im not quite sure on how i will setup my speakers yet. ive heard of both active and passive for comps, though im not sure what they mean. im guessing my options are running the alpines and Bravox's off the amp, or alpines off the HU and comps off the amp?... im sure i will have more questions later on such as help installing. i guess the first order of buisness is to get everything ordered that i need to install. so thanks in advance! -jonathan
  22. Y are u set on 3kw? Im assuming u already have an amp...? Just get 2 12"s as satated above.
  23. Yea. They do look really nice. Can't wait to get mine in the mail. This is my first install if any kind. And I have a Kenwood kdc-HD545U that ill be putting in. With Bravox cf comps. And maybe alpine type r's for rear fill.
