  1. I am going to buy a one foot piece to compare to my HPM. I will post pics then.
  2. Check out their facebook for pics. Looks nice, ofc I believe.
  3. I want to give you guys a heads up that DC Power now sells power wire at good prices. Check it out. They are also working on power distribution components 1/0 $3.75/ft 2/0 $4.50/ft 3/0 $5.00/ft
  4. I am jealous. I wish I had room for an 18!
  5. Nope been looking too. Wondering how well it would work with the ZED Minotaur. It works with any amplifier, not just ZED amps. I am surprised to see an "epicenter like" by ZED. That just does not fit the ZED profile. An epicenter added distortion, ZED will not produce something that adds distortion. We will have to dig into this http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/ZED-Audio-%252d-RA-amp-remote.html Here is a littler review ZED Audio RA I am curious how the 12db(4x) final gain stage does not add to amplifier clipping. I would think that any boost betwen the signal source and the amplifier would increase the potential for amplifier clipping. I do know that, from my experiences, that the signal level varies in recorded or altered source materials. Ie. play a song from iTunes then play a song converted from youtube or downloafed from decaf. The output (spl) level is different (not mechanically measured, just my ear). So maybe the RA "restores"(epicenter imo) the low frequency signal. Any conclusions on this denim? I am interested! The tube amp from ZED is in the pre-production stage? If not I would love to see pricing on that!
  6. I pulled up a bunch of very interesting threads on Stetsom amps on various forums where people were criticizing the design of the amps, and I have to agree... for example, their amps take at most single 1/0 power and ground up to the V 14K2... the 7K2 apparently consists of two amps internally connected by only 4 gauge wire... the conclusion by many was that these are SPL-only amps intended for 16v operation. Hmm I was interested in buying the 2k5e. I did minimal research and did not find anything alarming. I do not think I will ever need over 5k wrms. Kinda weird to hear chit about Stetsom now. (Now meaning: last year I wanted Stetsom but decided to go a different route)
  7. Where at in NY is that eggyhustles? I live an hour away from NYC.
  8. Flapping anything sounds horrible eh

  10. Have you ever seen that done with rear seats NOT folded down? I definitely wanna be able to do hair tricks, but bmw seals the trunk pretty good. I doubt that much air will be able to get to the cabin. My pioneer does a good job to shake the car, mirror shakes pretty good. So I have high hopes when I get 2 12 xcons Well IMO I would cut out the rear deck to mount the subs there and weld any braces if needed. Back in the late nighties a buddy of mine had a 325 two door. He had two Lanzars 12" (Lanzar was the shit back then) in a bandpass ported through the rear deck. It was decent. Definitely not making hair tricks though. Hell in the 90's hair tricks meant you had a wall of 16 15's lol. I think you need to get those seats down. If not cut up that rear deck, if it is even big enough to mount subs there. Just keep in mind of any structural supports.
  11. Sub facing the front, sealed off. I have a 3kwp but for this vid the gain was set at approx 1800wrms. This picture is before I sealed it off with expanding foam (made a huge difference)
  12. It has been raining here off and on for the past two weeks. Today it hit 80 degrees finally. No tornado watch in the Poconos, PA. Thanks for the alert
  13. This is my video of a single XCON 15. I did not try a hair trick but it looks possible.....
  14. I do not know if you have an previous experience with fiberglass. I have learned alot from http://www.fiberglassforums.com/ Most of the members on this forum have extensive knowledge. Some of the builds will knock your socks off! Midbass low in the doors, midrange in kicks and tweets in the sail panel (side view mirror location) Should sound good and image well Your previous work has looked great, will be looking forward to your fiberglass handywork! Thanks sefugi. As I said before any compliments from you are highly regarded! I never worked with fiberglass, only bondo or kitty hair. I am so stoked to dive into this. I just do not have the time right now. I just bought a house and we are in the process of making it "ours". LOL it is taking up all my time. I have been drinking alot of beer though
  15. @ford302 BTW I own an SSA XCON 15, look at my build log, look at my videos in the video section, look at my post today (in the SSA section) saying how I beat the snot out of my XCON.... give it up
  16. Pump it up with 2500wrms, I do
  17. Damn back in my computer geek days I would know what you all are talking about What the hell
  18. The Z is a high excursion driver. Hair trick is possible in a small vehicle IMO Let us know!!!!
  19. Yeah man my 3kwp pops but it isn't bad. I turn my volume to zero before I turn the system off then when I turn it back on I don't get the pop. I haven't glass'd my doors yet so I haven't wired my 1000c4 up. I am going to replace the capacitor ahead of time. Hopefully 807tubenut is right, I have no doubts he is I am going stick with my current amps indefinitely but the bc's are next! I'm surprised your not stating your opinion than you don't like that Crescendo didn't design these amps from the ground up and all the parts in it. Cause there are other companies who actually design there boards and a few actually builds them in house. If your going to down one company for it, you should be fair and down them all. I am not explaining the reasoning for my opinions to you again. If you don't like that tough shit man. Well, I'm just saying, don't single out one company, as they are the only ones who doesn't souly design their subs. You would actually probably be surprised at who designs what. I mean your argument could easily apply to amps. I'm sure Crescendo didn't design this board, and I'm there don't build anything that has to do with the amp. But there are other companies who design and actually build there amps, so why don't you point that out? Since you rather go with a company who designs there own stuff and release info... I don't see Crescendo falling into that category. *Not that I'm downing Crescendo, this is just to make a point. Phuck man you just do not get it. You are turning into a rash on my ass... And you point is is that you are trolling around bringing up a previous discussion that has no place here. Crescendo released product pictures, descriptions, build house info and prices before the presale even started. Props. SSA will not even release driver specs to customer that already have the product. I do not agree with that sales tactic. I am the customer with money. Without customers businesses fail. If customers want specs on products then give it. SSA chooses not too. Cool. I got it. I will spend my money elsewhere. Do you work for SSA? No. Do I owe you anything? No. Now for the love of car audio, phuck off. His nature. That is more than likely why he was banned on other forums.
  20. Do you mean you over tightened and stripped the wood out and and they just didn't hold? I could see that happening. Bingo. That happens alot, or atleast that I have seen in other installs, once in my own. It is easy to do. Drywall screws just do not have enough bite to begin with.
  21. Common with drywall screws. Gotta use deck screws, you probably knew that
