  1. I will have to check out the recommended box calculator too. WinISD is not user friendly imo. I believe Steave Meades's forum has a usefull calculator as well.
  2. Reading through the old thread it looks like 90-100lbs for frame and motor.
  3. Lol decaf ftw. I thought you were glassing the ipad in the dash?
  4. I kept my stock ground and added a 1/0 ground from battery to strut tower. If you have doubts you can chevk your ground location with a dvm. Choose a location with the least resistance. As always remove paint and grim, metal to metal contact is a must.
  5. Sundown FTW like always. Is this an spl burp style only driver?
  6. Nice box bro. No you will be chasing down rattles for the next month lol.
  7. Here is UPS tracking information for the alt My link
  8. I guess I missed the details. What box/amp setup? How are optimal enclosures being built when t/s specs are unknown? It looks like alot of people have these subs yet "Joe Public" is told that the manufacturer doesn't have metal to make them. As a potential buyer things are looking a bit strange with these ZCONS.
  9. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
  10. I will ship the alt back asap. I am anxious to hear whats up. The only mods I did to the alt was the housing. I marked the area that I removed material with yelliw paint stick to make it clear. I never dismantled the housing just only removed material for fitment. Here is a pic (note yellow paint on housing)
  11. You are going balls deep into this build. Looking good.
  12. Under the rear seat That is what I was thinking, but Grasshopper mentioned when you have something that long you want to show it off! True **** lol
  13. Voltage dropping to 12.5v isnt good imo. With a 225a alt and 2500wrms amp on music (doubtful you even come close to that rms rating), you shouldnt really have considerable voltage drop. You went from a RF amp to Sundown. Sundown amps are no joke. You may want to consider upgrading or reworking your electrical wiring if needed. You might even need to look into XS Power battery up front and another XS Power battery near the amp. I have a feeling you are starving your Sundown amp. Maybe your enclosure foe the sub is less than optimal. Good luck
  14. Under the rear seat
  15. Very nice craftsmanship. I am anxious to see more.
  16. Kyle and Robbie this afternoon I started my car and before I even moved it my battery light came on. I turned on my hu to check voltage and my voltage meter read 12.5v. I turned the car off grabbed my dvm out of my garage and started the car again and checked voltage at the alternator, 12.6v. My 270XP appears to be dead after 2 months or so of use All of my connections are solid, charge wire secure alternator plug connected. I swapped out the DC Power alt and bolted on my stock alt. Started car back up, dvm read 14.38v. Kyle I heeded to your recommendations to not crank my stereo due to the 270XP voltage jumping around until Robbie came up with a solution. Since our conversation voltage was typically in the 15.1v to 14.1v range. This was with stereo on or off. I had no signs of alternator failure if you consider voltage jumping around normal during driving. Since installing the alt I have not done any mods to my car or stereo/electrical. Please let me know what you want me to do.

    Clean ride
  18. Are there t/s specs available?
  19. You can use just about any bolt that is on the block to just about any point on the frame/body. I think running a ground from alt to battery is an excellent idea.
  20. Looks like it was fun! Nice scores.
  21. 1500wrms
  22. Titebond for sure. I like to use 2" or 2 1/2" deck screws. Don't forget to pre drill your holes.
  23. I want the p99rs badly I will sell you my Kenwood KDC X994, Audiocontrol DQXS with DDC. Pm me if interested.
