XS Power recommened isolator/relay
I am planning on using a D3400 under the hood as my stock replacement starting battery and a D3400 in my trunk as an auxiliary battery for my amplifiers. I want to use an isolator/relay between the two batteries, atleast 300 amp. I am considering a Stinger SGP35 500amp isolator/relay. Is this a good isolator/relay to use with XS Power batteries or is there something better? Thanks

Infinitely Baffled The Do-Over. :P
Good job on this. I really like the door mounted mids, that turned out great. If you clean up the wires in the trunk that would make things look a lot better! Are you pleased with the 18's? I have only heard IB's once. That was two MTX 15's in a cavalier, it sounded great!

Can someone from DC Power Contact ME!!!!
DC Power was trying to resolve some equipment testing issues prior to the SEMA show. They needed this piece of equipment for the show which consumed alot of theit time. I am currently working with DC Power to resolve an issue that I have with one of their alternators. I am confident that it will be resolved, patience.

Sundown X-8 Work in Progress
Yes, alot bigger. Like I said that is nuts. I am very anxious to see this bad boy. I might just have to buy one for shits and giggles and build an ABC enclosure for it

Is the magnet going to be bigger than the upcoming t3 8"? That would be nuts!

To follow a newly designed driver I think a new logo on the magnet looks great.

Box help which way to fire subs (pics)
It sounds like you have plenty of room for (2)12's ported. If SQ is the biggest concern look at (2)12's sealed which should be an even smaller footprint. I am a big fan of bigger is better. So I would always take a larger driver over a small one. You could even do (1)15 ported or sealed. I love 15's

If I were you I would look into external aero ports ran behind the seat(s). This would free up some space for internal volume.

I can understand $600 for an alt if you are only running one cheap starting battery. I just paid less than $400 from DC Power for a 180amp alt. Our vehicles have similar wattage requirements. I could barely, I mean barely, get by with this alt and one good starter battery. For good measure 3500 watts plus 180 alt plus 2 XS Power D3400 = decent electrical. But that is another +$500 in battery cost

Sundown X-8 Work in Progress
Looks like this will be a very well built sturdy driver. I am excited about the specifications based on this design but a larger size, such as a 15".

Fixed for you. You do not like PSI?

Also look at PSI, they somewhat custom make their speakers. If you have certain build parameters you have to have PSI might be able to accommodate you.

I have a 4 door Elantra. I am going to be running a XCON 15D2 powered by a Stetsom 2K. I also have a 180amp alt and dual batteries. The XCON will definitely be over powered but with proper setup I should achieve good results. It will be interesting to compare your setup against mine.

My Malibu on 22's
Looks hot! I would lower it a little to tuck some rim/tire. Something real subtle. Roll the fenders to prevent rubbing. No need to pull out fenders unless you like the wide tire look.

Help with battery setup
From my consumer opinion : High power car audio loads reduce battery charge quickly. A high ouput alternator can recharge batteries. I have been told by numerous people that Optima batteries do not accept a charge as fast as other manufacturers such as xs power and kinetik. You never want to run two manufacturer types of batteries. Always go with same manufacturer battery. Remember a bigger starting battery could drain your secondary battery or vice versa. Good rule of thumb is to buy the biggest batteries (same manufacturer) you can fit/afford. Hopefully somebody with more technical knowledge will chime in.
