  1. Been using my dad's D40 and my phone. Wanna get a nice DSLR of my own. Check out the new Nikon line up. D3100 on the cheap. D7000 for a bit more.
  2. I have an XCON 15D2 and a DC Power 180 amp alternator on its way to my house .....and Argent Audio is building me a 4.0 cubic enclosure with a tuned 32hz flared port Hmmmmm...... Sundown SAZ-2500D or Stetsom V 2K5E 1 ohm? 2500 watts should give me a little bit of headroom After I get the low end taken care of I will focus on the mids/highs. Build log coming soon. Oh yeah....going in a Hyundai Elantra
  3. Thanks Rob, I will call around 2!

Thanks for the fast reply Nathan. With the D6500 under the hood which battery do you recommend as a secondary battery? Do I need a battery isolater then? Which charger do you recommend? Thanks for your help. Eric

I have searched everywhere for a high ouput alternator for my 2008 Hyundai Elantra and nobody makes one! My stock alternator is a puny 90amp unit. I would like to be able to support +3000wrms. I plan on using a D6500 battery under the hood. By adding a second battery I would not be improving anything other than killing my alternator faster, right? Do you think I can support +3000wrms with my factory alternator and a D6500? Thank you! Eric
  7. I shoot a Nikon D5000, cant wait to go full frame!!!
  8. Nice fabrication work! I really enjoyed reading it. Good job. What happen to the JL's on page 5?
  9. I am glad it worked out because I ordered the XCON yesterday! PM sent!
  10. Thanks for the reply Impious
  11. Thanks Buddy. Wont be long now...... Thank you. I forgot to mention your fiberglass skills.......wow! Thank you! Ha Ha the white paint is the prep. I used an oil based primer on it. I have never been a fan of spray paint and I prefer to brush or roll paint on. Easier, costs less, and better results IMO. If you take an interior piece into say Sherwin Williams, they will color match if for you too. All that said, I will spray a gloss clear coat on the inside to slick it up a little bit and give it some shine. Send a pm to JBLCAMRY.
  12. Interesting design. Who is going to be first to make a compound isobaric enclosure, cone to cone. Would look sweet.
  13. The SSA store price for the SAZ-1500D v.2 is $400. The actual price is $425, right?
  14. Looks great. Thanks for doing this for all of us. It really makes purchasing equipment easier and more enjoyable. BTW I am ordering a XCON 15D2 today!
  15. Awesome build. How did you prep the wood before paint?Did you use spray paint? You mentioned that Dylan designed the enclosure fir you. How can I contact Dylan? Thanks!
  16. This is my first install in a four door sedan. So sorry for the noob question I will be using a single 15 in a ported enclosure in my trunk. My question is, will I have a better/louder low end if I have my sub pointed towards the rear hatch or if it is pointed towards the rear seat? BTW there is about 10"-12" separating the enclosure and rear hatch. Thanks!
  17. Unfortunately max height is 17.00". I had the box at height 17.625" and it would not fit. I had to trim 0.625" for it to fit in! Likewise any added material in depth or width and it will not fit. I altered this box roughly 5 times slightly trimming each time to achieve these max dimension. So it looks like flush mount is not an option for me. I would like to order an enclosure ASAP. Can you give me your phone number so we can work out the remaining details over the phone? Thanks, Eric
  18. After numerous test fits the absolute biggest size enclosure that will fit is 35.5" wide, 17"height and 20.5" deep. I would like to have double baffle flush mount and kerf(flared) port. Do you think that based on my max dimensions there will be enough internal cubic feet for a XCON 15D2? I would like tuning around 30-33hz unless you think other wise. I am ready to order. Thanks, Eric Mock up box in my trunk
  19. Great. I will mock up including 1.5" more depth. As soon as I get max dimensions figured out I want to order the enclosure from you. Can I call you to work out the details and to give you payment information? If so what is your number? Thanks Eric
  20. I am going to mock up another box today that measures 17.5h, 35.5w and 20d. These are the outside dimensions of the enclosure that SSA recommends for optimal ported. I will let you know if this size will fit into my trunk. How much size do you think a kerf port, internal bracing and a double baffle flush mount will add to this enclosure? Thanks
  21. I looked at the SSA website and I think that the dimensions that they recommend will work!!! What do you think?
