ib3 8"
Food for thought. You do not need to use a dedicated infinite baffle driver to use in an infinite baffle alignment. You can use any subwoofer IB. Generally subwoofers designed for a sealed enclosure well work IB. Also I do not think Fi makes 8" subwoofers.

FI SP4 Inverted Motor Noise (wtf)
Interesting. I had a couple subs mounted inverted with pole vents and never had issues. My Fi IB315's are inverted but they do not have a pole vent.

Check the dustcap. This seems like the dustcap maybe be loose. The dustcap is fairly rigid so you may need to carefully use a vary small screwdriver to try and pry it up. If it doesnt lift up then dont try pry it with force.

Honestly. I know what they are but not sure how to interpret histograms. I was shooting in 100% auto mode just playing around. It went straight from RAW to 0 compression PNG.. Maybe because I uploaded them to facebook? Possibly. Here are some basic. This does not touch RGB histogram. Due to the subject matter these pics should be on the bright side. Your histogram should be shifted slighted to the right. The pic of the black cat throws a curve ball int the histogram and now both the left side and the right side of the histogram should be somewhat balanced. You might hear people saying "expose to the right". What this means is that your histogram should be shifted to the right side. This is a safe way to shoot. It is easier to edit a slightly overexposed picture than an underexposed one. Having a histogram touching the far left side is indicating that some parts of the photo are underexposed. Having a histogram touching the far right indicates over exposed elements. The pic of the black cat possibly has underexposed sections due to the fact that it is a back cat with a bright background. The paws look underexposed to me. Often having overexposed or underexposed portions of a picture is acceptable. The dead grass on the third flower picture look overexposed which isn't the focus of the picture and is more than likely fine the way it is. There will be times when you want to overexpose a picture or underexpose a picture. I use the camera's metering to determine this and histogram will verify it. Underexposed on the left, overexposed on the right- Insane rock thrower
I must have watched this video 10 times now. I can not get enough!- New lens.. Sony Alpha owners...
I love large aperture lenses. How does the histogram look on this pictures? They look a stop under exposed to me.- Insane rock thrower

I agree, having all DSP duties handled by the head unit is a huge plus. Although, newer cars that have the climate control adjustments built into the head unit also have many options. I am particularly fond of the Arc Audio PS8 for that install scenario. No good reason to use multiple processors. There really is no need for that many breaks in the signal. There are many stand alone options available that do it all. Stay away from the Dayton Audio 6"-8" drivers. They really lack the midbass and upper bass that you will need for a two-way setup. I would look at a 6.5" midrange/midbass that will fit your door install limitations and can extend down to 80hz in an IB configuration. Keep in mind they are not going to be ear bleeding loud I am loving my el'cheapo LPG 25NFA tweeters (BTW I went to these from $400 tweeters). I wouldn't cross the LPG's no lower than 3.15k. If you want to double the cost on the tweeters you can pick up some ScanSpeak's that you could cross around 2k. The trade-off will be imaging and a low soundstage using stock locations. The farther apart your tweeter and midrange are from each other the more critical cross over points are and the harder to tune and ultimately more difficult to achieve a good soundstage. A two-way front stage will give you a good starting point in achieving the "sound" you want in your car. After a bit you will realize what needs improved from the install limitations. Then if you are like a lot of us you might get bitten by the SQ bug and want to take it to the next level- Audax PR125T1 vs Morel CAT378. Front stage gurus help me out!
If I can go small format then high on the door slightly off axis. If I have to go large (which is what will probably happen) then low in the door on axis I was looking at the horn loaded drivers because....they play low and I can fit them a lot easier than I can a traditional large format. The added efficiency was just a bonus. What are the trade offs of the horn-loaded drivers? Besides the dip in response when placed off axis. And whooooo....those are $$$. The design of a horn loaded tweeter is to control dispersion, enhance efficiency and alter the frequency response of the driver connected to it. Exactly what the manufacturer of the tweeters you listed goals were in their deign ultimately all three of the characteristic I listed were affected. Two cons for auto use are large size and narrow dispersion. Ouch, could you imagine these on axis screaming in your ears!- Audax PR125T1 vs Morel CAT378. Front stage gurus help me out!
Cant say I an think of any scenario where those two tweeters you listed would be suitable for car audio. Check out http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/scanspeak-soft-dome-tweeters/scanspeak-illuminator-d2004/6020-00-tweeter/- Surprise 36 hour weekend sale
