  1. If the enclosure is constructed well and meets the driver's specifications I see nothing wrong with it.
  2. Could be one of a few things. Possibly a bad voltage regulator or a bad connection between the alternator and PCM. Maybe even a bad battery.
  3. Done. I am edoubleist
  4. Sundown has always been known to handle more than rated power. I would go with the E's or even SA's.
  5. Another guy from PA
  6. I have a couple new amps coming my way. I will post them up when I have them. I picked up a Pioneer DEX-P99RS Gotta have some nice cables to carry that clean signal. I am using Dayton Audio microphone cable. Copper shielding with copper signal wires. Outer cable Outer covering peeled. This pic shows the copper shielding. On the signal end, the shielding is joined with the ground wire. Shielding separated. Shielding tinned with ground wire and signal wire is tinned. Soldered to RCA end Output end of the RCA cable is not joined to the shielding. I use a small piece of heat shrink to make sure the shielding does not come in contact with the ground wire or RCA end. Ground and signal tinned. No more pics of the assembly, you get it I am using three different colors for the three way front stage. I also use a different color for the sub bass RCA. You may notice different lengths heat shrink on either end. That is so I know which end to plug into the 99RS.
  7. I am mostly looking forward to the upcoming NS 18"
  8. Looks like an event not worth missing! Where are all of the bikini girls?
  9. Sounds pretty nuts!
  10. And what exactly is wrong with that? Never, not once, have I considered not buying a product because it is made in China. What is your point? Chinese built products are inferior? Let me ask you this. Does SSA design their own product? Or do they pay somebody to do it then slap an SSA sticker on it? Made in USA or not I like to buy from audio manufacturers that design, test and revise their own products. Eh, you really are butthurt about something aren't you? No. The only straight up shitty deal I got from a car audio related company was from DC Power.

  12. No.
  13. Nice amp bro
  14. Going to be impossible to say which setup will be louder. Look at the differences between sealed and ported and choose the setup that best fits your needs.
  15. agreed... its weird how the SP4 and the Zcon look like they have the same motor... Ironic? All SSA motors look nearly identical to Fi models.
  16. I have been waiting for this
  17. Very nice budget equipment there that I am sure will knock your socks off!
  18. Not yet. Have to relocate the trunk hinges first.
  19. Gotta say that Sundown has their shit together. Not only are their products top in the business but their customer service is outstanding! Tuesday morning I emailed Sundown about a used basket and a t-shirt. A couple hours later my email was replied to and a few more emails later, within an hour, my swag was ordered. I received my order today, three days after ordering Thanks Sundown! I will also add that I requested a little something special added to my Z.3 that I ordered a couple weeks ago. Without hesitation Sundown complied. A lot of companies ship straight from a build house without personally testing or even seeing the product they sell, not Sundown!
  20. Good stuff!
  21. Nope Sundown is made in China. Doesnt matter either way. Sundown offers an excellent product. Nearly everything in my vehicle is made overseas.
  22. You can make it work if done properly. Back in 90's Richard Clark had an award winning sound quality vehicle that had 12" midbass drivers mounted in the rear quarter panels. It is paramount that your installation is 100% free from rattles. Question is, you do not want to go active yet you want to go to extremes with you mounting locations? Going to be impossible without proper processing.
  23. I picked up some 3/4" birch from a reputable lumber yard. It was labeled as Craftsman grade C-2. Unfortunately it is crappy chinese junk. It has more voids than what I would have ever thought about using. Hopefully it works well for my application. Although I have my doubts.
