  1. I wish I had your carpeting skills
  2. Nice build man. Those BTL's gotta be nutz in that truck.
  3. Little vid before I start tearing this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0MvzgHj3OA
  4. In my sig except I don't have the 800prs anymore its a avh3200 now Ah. I had that feature turned off.
  5. Yep. I drew up the enclosure plans last night. Possibly next week I will start on them.
  6. Not too shabby. What is your setup? Cant wait to read your comparo with the SP4
  7. Good info there for sure.
  8. I am noticing some mixed thoughts on enclosure bracing. My opinion on bracing is to brace areas larger than two square feet. Again that is my humble opinion, no scientific study. I have done a little bit of research and I have not been able to come up with an definitive answer. I had a Team SSA member tell me today that a mounting baffle for 8 12" subwoofers does not need bracing. That seems like a far stretch for me to believe. But then again, I am basing my enclosure bracing off a hunch. Can anybody name a scientific evaluation that has been performed on enclosure bracing and it's proper application? Or even a good article written by a reputable source on enclosure bracing?
  9. Definitely think that is a good idea, if not a necessity on panels that large. I am really anxious to see your carpeting skills! Mine suck lol.
  10. Mounting baffle shouldnt need a brace if built right, side wall baffles will suffice. Where can I find the data that supports your answer? There are 8 12" subwoofers with over 6kw mounted on the same baffle. It looks to me like the spacing between subwoofers is 3-4". The integrity of the mounting baffle has been compromised. I would think bracing the mounting baffle is a logical choice to make. I asked because I ask always learning from others
  11. Box is looking good. No bracing for the mounting baffle?
  12. Nice. I would like to see pictures of this setup.
  13. From what I understand you build the sealed section to sealed enclosure specs. Keep in mind the the low frequency extension will be direct reflection of this design. The sealed section serves as the high pass f3. The ported section is built to ported specs for that speaker. The tuning frequency is the low pass f3. Combine the two and you have a fourth order bandpass. Some like to use ratios for the sealed to ported. Might be best to pay for a design.
  14. Really diggin your dual alt setup. Good luck on the front doors bro. It isnt hard really. Biggest tip is to get your resin mixture right. Too weak and you have a gooey mess forever and too hot and you end up rushing yourself through the project. Which leads to getting frustrated and eventually saying fuck it Tuned in for the sub stage redo. Hoping you stick with a musical setup. SPL vehicles seem to become easier and easier to build with advances in electronics and the rapid spread of knowledge thanks to forums like this (which is a good thing ). Whatcha got brewing?
  15. This is the first I am hearing off this brand. Their amps look relatively small for their stated output. A few of their subs have crazy high qts. How much was this amp?
  16. Uneventful. Bought wifey a Dutch Oven, she cooked dinner, cuddled on couch while fighting the dog to stay off us. Vday sucks. Another corporate ploy to get consumers to spend money.
  17. Order #'s 1853, 1211, 1153
  18. Looks good brah
  19. Your facebook pictures looo much different. I guess I can see the resemblance lol
  20. I have the PCB done. Onto bigger and better things! Drilling the through holes All soldered. Penny to show size.
  21. Thanks. What is up next is to redo the sub stage setup. Still using the zcon? Yep keeping the ZCON. I will be using it forward firing with an 8"x12" slot port through the rear deck.
  22. Pretty nuts! I love your video introduction. What video editing software do you use?
  23. Thanks. What is up next is to redo the sub stage setup.
