  1. One or the other: Variable 18 dB per octave low-pass crossovers 50-250 Hz. Variable 18 dB per octave high-pass crossovers 50-250 Hz. I will be using a processor. Not sure yet. Dpeends on price and features. The ARC maybe +$3000 Probably either the RF 3sixty.3 or the JBL MS-8.
  2. Cant go wrong with Dayton Audio. This build will take a while. Mostly because it is 9 degrees in my garage
  3. What is the last picture of?
  4. Sound quality is very biased to personal tastes. Buy the driver that is within your budget, power requirement and fits your enclosure limitations.
  5. I AM A DEALER CALL ME 217-679-0555 Does typing in all caps gets you more business?
  6. Yes the mids will be mounted in the footwells, two per side. That is why I went with the truncated frames. I have truncated plates for the tweets too just to minimize mounting width.
  7. The tweeters will be mounted in the apillars at ear level. The midrange drivers will be mounted two per side in the footwells (not kick panels). The midbass drivers will be mounted in the doors. More pics to come as this build gets off, soon I hope!
  8. Some new stuff

I have the relay, remote distribution strip, fuse block and IPod in the glove box. ZED Audio RA mounted in a factory compartment
  10. I will be fabricating three enclosures. One for each speaker and one for the electronics. The enclosures will be a mostly 3/4" oak with a dark stain. I also have a couple unique materials/components I will be using
  11. Thanks man I had imagined the copper traces be more fine lined and precise. But I guess for a first time PCB construction it isn't too bad. Good enough for this atleast.
  12. I picked up a few Aura's a while back.
  13. Nice shop! I am always impressed with Team Russia Sundown.
  14. Shit! I wanted to give you a +1 for a sweet post and I accidentally hit -1. Sorry
  15. Nice f'n amp! What gauge is the remote wire?
  16. Base your battery size on the length time you need the system playing for comps. An HC600 is pretty small and I would think it would be good for this setup if this system isnt being played for hours. I haver heard of theses systems hitting 160's. Most mount the mic in a bowl, right?
  17. Update.I finally had a minute to mess around with this. I revised my circuit layout with thicker traces and larger solder through holes. I printed my layout on Press-n-Peel. I trimmed and piece of copper PCB board to size. I iron on the Press-n-Peel. Here is what is left on the copper board. I etched the remaining copper off the board. After cleaning off the toner, copper traces remain! Up next is to drill the through holes and solder the components.
  18. Did you carve the inside of the pods out?
  19. Bored with the sub stage? Is it done?
  20. I started the pillars before I had the foam, so im not sure how they'll turn out yet. may redo them with foam. I have the l4s crossed at 350hz right now. My car has a flat panel under the dash, its thin wood wrapped in a soft material, so I guess the Volvo is cutting me some slack. Very cool there lucky guy Anxious to see apillar pics and your thoughts on how these drivers are blending together.
  21. Awesome. I can't wait to see your pillars. I take it that you can run the I4 full range? If so you should be able to use a high xover point Are you building covers for the underside of you dash? Even if it its cardboard it will help.
  22. the headunit used had some speakers hooked up to it Ahh. I can only imagine what you Team Russia guys are doing with this amp
  23. I am stoked to see this come together!
  24. Really is impossible to recommend which one will be louder. Just to many variables to consider. I do know that I can't even tell you how many Sundown setups I have seen that put up ridiculous numbers.
