  1. Wow! They look great! Love the plating on the motor! Z v.3 have stitched surronds, right? How do you think enclosure sizes will be compared to Z v.2? Preorder?
  2. Your build looks good man. Make sure to post up pics of the plexi!
  3. That is tight! Dont forget to drill the pilot holes 100% straight! I would use the shortest screws possible when mounting into the top and bottom baffle like that. Might be best to avoid mounting into the top and bottom baffle if possible.
  4. I remember the first time I heard/saw a W7. My reaction was like WTF! The cone excursion was ridiculous, incomparable to anything at that time. +$1000 for a single sub is crazy expensive. In the long run it makes you think if it is really worth it. For that price you can buy 2-6 other subs at least. One of JL's selling points was that the W7 has the excursion to be comparable to a muilti sub setup. Quite possible. But with the newer technology available today and fierce competition between manufacturers I do not think that this still holds true. I think JL is past due for a replacement driver for the W7. Whatever it is it sure as hecks outta be amazing!
  5. MORE PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Rumored but definitely unofficial. Over on DIYMA, I believe that was the forum I read it, there is a long thread about the XD and HD amps. A JL Audio rep was partaking in the topic and mentioned a number of times about new products for late 2011/early 2012 but never really said exactly what. I have a hunch that we might be looking at a very high power handling subwoofer series and high power amplifiers to go with them. Jl Audio is an innovating company. Whatever is replacing the W7 I am sure will be phenomenal or else..... Rumored they also have a couple new patents pending
  7. I am very interested in the Leviathan-II. Sending a PM now.
  8. JL Audio 2012 New Products I wonder what is brewing at JL Audio? Looks like in a few months we will know! I would love to see what they would replace the W7 with.
  9. I have both the Stinger Roadkill Expert and AlphaDamp in my car. The Stinger Roadkill Expert is an excellent product. The overall thickness is 0.080" compared to 0.060" on the AlphaDamp. Even thought the foil thickness is slightly larger on the AlphaDamp the butyl rubber compound is very thick on the Stinger Roadkill Expert. The butyl rubber compound on the Stinger Roadkill Expert is a very different compound then the AlphaDamp. It is more like a putty. Initially it does not seem as sticky as the AlphaDamp but I have not had any issues with it adhering to my trunk lid. The Stinger Roadkill Expert is very easy to apply and will form around any panel that I have applied it to. I have not noticed any smell from the Stinger Roadkill Expert. Excellent product and I would definitely buy it again. It is very competitively priced IMO.
  10. There isn't a doubt in my mind that you can design the best enclosure for it. The enclosure you designed for my 13w6 sounds great
  11. Nice! I like the sealed enclosure specs!
  12. Looks like you got one on sale before they became back ordered
  13. Really unfortunate that your compant had to end this way. I had my eyes on two RL-s 12
  14. Thanks ricksi30
  15. I have been using a XS Power D3400 for almost a year. Great battery. Cold starts are much better than stock battery. 0 degree temps outside are not an issue.
  16. Didnt he tear this build out a couple months ago?
  17. Is this a new coil or the standard coil that has been in production?
  18. Awe shits you got me. I guess you will not like my build with 50 supertweets
  19. Hecks yeas brotha! Of the internet branded amps I have ran Crescendo and soon DC Audio. When I decide to buy an amplifier absolutely no factor has to do with brand name. The reviews and customer service speak for themselves. I will run Crescendo and DC Audio anytime if their product fits my build. Currently I am running JL Audio amps. Why? Because they fit my build log criteria for amps. Small. Personally I think Sundown amps are way overpriced. Here again, I am not going to buy them just because of the Sundown tag on them Hell my 3kwp was them same freak'n amp as the SAZ-3000D (ok you got me, the caps are slightly different and the voltage protection circuitry is slightly different) which costs over twice as much.
  20. The 3SIXTY.3 should be amazing from what I have been able to gather. I am very anxious to hear more about it.
