  1. I cant wait for the details of the sale Is SSA now an AA "dealer?"
  2. Those motors are orgasmic!!

There is already a sub made by AA that compariable to the DC level 6. And they are half the price of the DC also. This is so true The price of the basket ALONE on the lvl 6 is
  4. Ugh, I wont even bother arguing with you Although I dont post too much, I read a LOT... and I know that youll prove me wrong haha Yeah, thats true. I was just estimating power output. I never said that thats how much power he'd get.. I say "if he was lucky," he'd get that power I completely agree with the bolded.
  5. This one.. with the single 80A fuse recommendation? Its rated at 2000wrms PEAK. That 900wrms rating is most likely inflated too.. youll probably get around 800wrms if youre lucky I agree that the amp doesn't do anywhere near it's advertising. But how do you come to the conclusion that it does 800watts rms? Edit: I see how you calculated that. You did the amp fusing (80a) * 10 and got 800watts? Is this some trick you learned somewhere? I did 80Amps x 14.4volts x .7 for efficiency

  7. Yeah, I would definitely use manual mode. I think you have to choose preset crossover frequencies. I just need to find the list of frequencies.
  8. If I got the Imprint H100 for the 117, I could bandpass the mids, and use a HPF on the tweets, right? Wouldn't I also be able to equalize? I just really like my 117
  9. Im reading about the 9887, and read Crutchfields "Hands On Research." Here's what it said about the crossover? Would I need Imprint?
  10. No, I haven't ever designed crossovers before. I'll pay Ray from Audio Innovations to design them though. However, if I'm going to spend around $200, I might as well just get a good sound processor. I could look for some used 3Sixtys.
  11. Alright. I might just build the crossover myself with parts on Parts Express. First ill look around for decks. Thanks for all the help.
  12. Apparently the KX3 only does highpass. If I set the mids' highpass to 70-80Hz, and the tweeters to ~3500Hz, I'd only need a lowpass for my mids. I was suggested to get Harrison Labs Fmods to take care of the lowpass. My headunit has some EQ controls for some adjustments. What do you guys think?
  13. When I was shopping for headunits, I was going to buy a 9887. I got the 117 for a STEAL though! Oh, I see. I understand what you mean. I might just go passive lol
  14. Why would you just get a new HU if an external crossover could take care of the frequencies? Can you suggest me any good headunits that are under $400?
  15. Yes, this will be my first active setup. Right now I have an Alpine CDA-117.
  16. I was looking at getting the Kicker KX3 Crossover to let me run active. I'll have a pair of Ascendant Audio Carbon Fiber Mids and a set of Morel tweeters. A 4 Channel will be powering the speakers. If I wire the tweets on the front channels and mids on the rear channels, should I be all set? I'll obviously bandpass the mids, and just use the HPF on the tweets. Ive read the manual, but the controls are odd. I looked into the AudioControl 4XS, but this is cheaper new. Thanks for the help
  17. This. I forget if it was on here or SMD though
  18. I do (fuse rating) x (14.4 volts) x (efficiency)
  19. Is "Super flexible and SUPER tough!" not good enough? It would be nice to know whether or not is CCA or OFC, strand count, strand size and maybe even a recommended maximum load in amperes over a certain length. Maybe I missed that? I use Mechman and Tsunami, so i havent really paid attention
  20. Yeah, I noticed this about a month ago and loved it! I didnt know that you did it though NICE!!
  21. Oh, I didn't recognize your username Jon haha
  22. or SMD. In fact, there's a rep who just posted literally 5 mins ago. That's only if you want a rep online. You could always email or call instead, if you want. I'm sure there are many educated people in the "Deadening" Section too
  23. Idk whether or not you guys noticed this, but the thread is from August
