Make sure your not using your fingers to hold the dmm to the speaker leads.

ssa doesnt stock sundown subs they process the order and give it to sundown then it gets shipped. About a week to get all that done.

The gain sets how much power you are giving the sub.

Try a new battery first and see what happens. I don't think it's your problem but a good agm battery won't hurt. What gauge wire did you do the big three in? Still sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere.
