  1. IT BEGINS Whatchu know about a 10" 45°, son?! Plenty of PL400 for maximum deebeez (the number after 'PL' indicates your approximate dB gain when used to seal your box)
  2. Oh shit! Time to break out the 64. I've been listening to a ton of songs on youtube for the past couple hours. I'll be damned if I'm not distracted enough tomorrow to finish my box build.
  3. The white button up is the best one imo..lol
  4. Im definitely gonna try that, cause i'd imagine im losin some db'zz lol. Thanks for the advice man. I wish, their still the stock ford speakers. Sounded good enough but i got some infinity reference 3ways im putting in No problem. My rear windshield was doin the same thing so I gave that a shot and now it's dead silent. Even put some on my license plate so it doesn't slap anymore. That stuff goes a long way, costs $4 for a 10' roll
  5. Do you want a ported wall or a bandpass? Let's start there lol
  6. I assume have the vinyl on the outside to have it act as a heat barrier while the cotton holds it in.
  7. Slightly irrelevant question...but how do you know which side is the upper right hand side? The basket is circular, lol
  8. I have an 18" xcon D2...message me with what you're thinking of.
  9. Thanks Went to the depot to get some stuff.... got wood? Part of my jigsaw came apart too so I had to get some JB weld as well. I had fixed it previously using some random adhesive I found laying around the house but when it cured it was almost like a gel and obviously didn't hold up to the intense vibrations of a jigsaw. The 2 shafts that move up and down (lol) came apart. One is for the blade, the other is for the scrolling. Put a ton of JB weld on the inside and plenty on the outside. Made sure to wipe down the whole thing to get rid of oil, then I sprayed the gears with some WD40 in case something was locking up causing the 2 shafts to come apart.
  10. My plan is to fill up each kerf with PL400 so then once I bend it into place it'll squish out any of the extra and keep all the kerfs filled up. Lay a little bit of glue on top and then drop the 45 right behind it. Should be solid as a rock
  11. That hatch is going crazy. Goto lowes/HD and get some 3/4" weatherstripping and line your rear windshield with it. It should only flex half as much and it should completely get rid of any rattles you're getting from the glass. Sick setup
  12. All I have here is a jig-saw, thats why I'm getting them done for me. We build our own snake racks and every thing was cut at HD and they were all perfect cut. Every thing lined up great. Fair enough then. Make sure to keep an eye on the guy running the panel saw. I suggest laying a 2x4 down at the bottom of the saw where the wood rests so that way the board won't tip over as you near the bottom of it. Also make sure the guy turns off the blade once it hits the bottom of the saw. 99% of the time the wood is 1/16 - 1/8" short cause they run the saw back up the wood and it cuts part of it off. Ok thanks for that info. Would it be better if the side where like end cap (16" X 18") and I cut the rest 1.5" shorter? So 34.5" wide and not the 36"? That's what I do. I have them cut the wood just an inch or so bigger and then I cut the rest when I get home, but I use a table saw to do my cuts. If you're using a jigsaw just have HD do the cuts and hope they don't fuck anything up too bad. Make sure to get some liquid nails to seal up anything that isn't perfect. 60-80 grit sandpaper wouldn't be too bad of an idea either.

  14. Are you getting it all cut at HD? If you have something at your house that you can use to cut it I highly suggest using that. I've seen cuts from HD that were spot on and cuts that were off as much as an 1"
  15. BL motors have 2 slugs...it's either a mayhem or the older triple stack BTL motor (which are basically the same motors anyways)
  16. I didn't say I couldn't do it, I said I wasn't comfortable doing it cause I didn't really have the materials for it lol (resin etc.)
  17. Thanks. That was a 3.5" kerf. The one I'm doing for my box is a 6", lol. Gonna be real fun cutting that..
  18. Did a test on some scrap wood here. First time ever doing a kerf port. Came out pretty good imo.
  19. This looks so much better man... Yep should sound pretty good. Once these paypal funds clear I'll be able to get some wood for the box, woot.
  20. Pics of the vehicle/setup as it sits: Once I get the materials for it I'm going to run 2 pieces of threaded rod that go through the little battery cage and attach to the bottom of the false floor. Then I'll take a piece of scrap wood or thin metal or something and run that between the 2 rods so it holds down the battery .
  21. Yes, but also how long you cook it also determines it. Trust me, we played around with cooking times a ton. Everytime we cooked it 5-10 minutes less it was MUCH hotter.
  22. You ever done jalapenos stuffed with bacon and hot cheese on the grill? Shit is delicious. How long you cook it determines how spicy it is...so if you don't want to set your taste buds on fire you can keep it on for a little longer.
  23. Also, what sub are you using that requires a quad baffle? You should be fine with just a single baffle + a flush mount, especially for a piece of wood that small. EDIT: Just read the title, derp. Definitely don't need a quad baffle for that.
