Anyone that could actually help me with my install?
If It comes to that I might have to do it myself... but I'd really rather avoid it if possible.

Anyone that could actually help me with my install?
The pioneer is already installed from my previous installation and I still have 4awg wires running to the back from my previous sub that I wanted to re-purpose for the 2 channel amp.

Anyone that could actually help me with my install?
I've been sitting on the gear in my sig below for the past 3-4 months waiting on the box to arrive, which did about a week ago. I'm relatively new to the car audio scene. I know quite a bit, yet have little to zero hands on experience. My last sub was done by Best Buy just to shed a little light on my ignorance. I have a brand new car and don't want to be screwing things up, but it looks like I have to now. I went to Sound Concept in Nanuet, NY to show off what equipment I had to be installed to the owner. He said he'd give me a quote, which I expected to be about $750 AT THE MOST. He then quotes me for around $1,300-$1,900 and it blew my freaking mind. As he tallied up labor hours in his e-mail I began doubting a lot of shit he had to say. It is below: The sound deadening labor is about 1 hour per door and should take 2 sheets. Total of 4 hours The 0 gauge power wire run with the mounting of the circuit breaker in the engine compartment. The ground loop up-grade between the negative battery terminal, engine and frame is 2 hours. The speaker trim ring to house the Milli mid bass driver made out of MDF, cover in plastic resin and painted for the right and left front door is 3 hours. The Milli cross-overs are too large to fit in the front doors and require the mounting in the trunk. Rewire speaker wiring for front doors is 1.5 hours. The balance of sound deadening material would be applied to the trunk area, primarily around the wheel wells, upper deck lid and the trunk lid. I will assume there will be 6 to 8 sheets of material left over it averages out to about 30 minutes per sheet and includes disassembly and reassembly on the trunk. The mounting of the amplifiers can be as simple as on a board in front of the subwoofer or we can build panels off to the side to give a better appearance. The basic board set up would be 2 hours and the build out would be 6 to 8 hours. The total time for the installation would could be from 16 to 22 hours. Your could expect to pay to install your system from $1300 to $1900. 3 hours to make a speaker trim ring?! 2 hours for the big 3 upgrade?! To be honest, I haven't done any of these processes before, but some of them sound batshit insane. I was wondering if there was anyone within around 4 hours from my location, 12590, that could aid my with my installation. Obviously I would compensate. I just can't afford dropping $2,000 pucking dollars on this and I don't have the courage to fuck up my car doing it myself. I have a month before I leave for college and need to get this crap installed. (Before anyone says "well, then you're in over your head with the gear you got," I don't exactly have a $1,000 car to play around with and learn so this was my only route.)

How good are SHURiKEN batteries?
Yeah, you should really look at the XS Power group comparison.

Estimated build time
Build time is long and communication is minimal from what I've experienced so far. edit: yet that was since taken care of

I never understood the "turn your HU to max" or "3/4 the way up" to set gains, filters, ect. On my last (very small) build I hardly ever turned my HU passed 10/40 because the speakers started to sound like they were distorting. Granted they were still stock and I barely attempted to set my sub filters properly, but I made sure to keep bass boost off it as well as the gain. I hardly know anything about setting these filters yet I plan to do it right when I get the build in my sig installed, which is in about a week or so.

A few of my pics
Nice work, especially the bridge shot. I'm in the market for a new camera. In fact, I was just checking out that exact Nikon. However, my friend has been pressuring me into picking up a Canon. I've never swayed from Nikon so I'm not sure what to do at the moment.

So my car got stolen..
So tell us what happen? Your mom saw a black guy and did nothing about it? And are you sure he was black? You said yourself that your car was blacked out right? So the only way she could tell what race he was is if she saw him breaking in, if thats the case, why didn't she do anything to stop it? If he was covering his face or something, then that again begs the question, how do YOU know he was black? Calm down, buckaroo. Obviously he spoke too soon and was agitated at the time.

Hairtrick questions?
It took a little bit of bent sheet metal but its in there lol all 7.5 cubes gross. But if you can't get more than 2.5 you're doing something wrong I could slide a 5 cube box in. Also we got 7 net into a Mazda 6. The edges of the trunk has so many bends and curves, raised pieces, along with other points. There's very little flat space. I initially wanted to go for a 15inch AA Havoc ported, but didn't think I could fit it. Now for my upgrade I would love to add another 12 yet I don't know if it's possible.

Hairtrick questions?
I don't understand how you guys can get 6 cubes in a sedan like that. My 09 Accord sedan can hard get 2.5 cubes...

Where are you DC power guys?
This seems to be common. A little wary after asking for a quote now.

Ported Enclosure for 12" AA Havoc
Have to leave now. You can get started on the box if you wish. Again, if need be the box can be much deeper and up to 1 inch higher. Thanks

Sound deadening on a budget?
That stuff seems very sketchy. I'd choose something that's relatively cheap and has a good following. Check out Raamat BXT II. www.Raamaudio.com

Ported Enclosure for 12" AA Havoc
Wow! My apologies! I could have sworn I left a response before I went away on business. Terribly sorry for leaving you hanging for almost a month. Yes, those dimensions will definitely work. I just removed my old setup since now all I need for my new system is the box. I snapped a new photo. As you can see, you can even go much, much deeper if you wish. Whatever you think would be best. It's how the trunk is shaped that prevented me from going with a 15" sub. I would have loved to. Hopefully we can get the order going and I can have you paid by Sunday. I'm leaving for Costa Rica on Monday and would like to have everything set in stone before I leave. edit: (the distance between the rise in the trunk beside those wires is exactly 22" all the way down so it should fit nicely)
