Me and Lance even found a good spot to play it where nobody bothers us. Which is kind of surprising, but should be good in the afternoon and weekend. I've never smoked a sub, well of course I have on purpose. But never without knowing what I was doing. I want to hear it at volume 33 instead of your whack 27. If it gains like it did from 27-30, it will be effing loud. Lol. Come on, 5 seconds won't hurt anything!!!!! I honestly think 30 seconds would be just fine, once you get your alts, voltage gets a little low. On the subject on Xcon comparison, now I wished I had more listening time with the X's. Only way I can hear differences is in the drivers seat and in control of the volume knob. Don't ask why.

Yall should of heard the difference when I turned the volume up past Lance's setting. It was a huge difference, but Lance about whooped my ass for turning it up where it is clipping. I still think Lance needs to tweak a few things, and it will be even louder. That will happen next week. Also we are planning something kinda cool for my youtube channel. Should be VERY interesting.

It says 1ohm. But if its stable to 2ohms, and you have it wired to 1ohm, I could see why your having problems.

I understand the reasons for not making super large amps. But it seems now, everybody is using the same boards for their 8k+ amps, guess they figure if one works, why not copy. I also see a lot in that range not having a warranty, I think one company has a warrantied price and a none price.(I was quoted for each, only 100 dollars difference, which could be well worth it to the custumer). Jake have you ever thought of selling BNIB amps without a warranty for a discounted price? Like to say your team members and such? Since a lot who compete run the amps outside the warranty limits anyways. And in this case you wouldn't have to worry about them trying to get a broke amp fixed because of user error.

Ok, that clears up the confustion I had. Prices are indeed nice. I admit that, hopefully used prices in the future will be dirt cheap and I'll actually own one.

Hopefully me and Lance will get a few teaser videos this weekend.

Ill give another example, Jake posted a video on youtube of him doing 153.4dB(funny same score) but at 53hz with 1 15 SA and 2 3500ds. But that isn't quiet the same, just people will compare it. Hell if it was easy to do 1 15 instead of 4 18s then why does people spend all that money if its not needed? You know?

Wasn't nothing wrong with that score, seeing you didn't hardly have any testing. I'm sure a 155 was pretty reachable, if you had fully tested. Most people that down scores, have no idea or have ever been that loud. That's one reason Meade doesn't post scores. Everybody will give him shit for days, even though they have no idea. They just see a straight burp SPL car doing 170 with similar equipment, so if he's not doing that, its not loud. So never be ashamed of a score, my Mustang did 137.5 and I loved that setup.

I agree you get what you pay for, but the DC is really expensive because of that basket. Which doesn't really enhance performance. They went the cheaper tooling cost but higher actually cost to make route. Ill say 4 TSNS is half the price of DC if you get a "hook" up price. I think the RD and Treo is kinda expensive also. I know the SHW use to be very costly, which I didn't understand why. It doesn't have anything special about it other than 4inch coil. Treo just wants a arm and leg for anything,and seems they don't update their line much. But I'm very picky, I look at things closely and pick out flaws, a critic is a good way to deserve how I view things.

Hold up, the prices posted are pre-order and not finale?! Uh oh, I thought these things were going to be good deals but if they raise it, it will be on point with everybody else. I'm a little disappointed now.

* no woofer being produced now can handle that much daily, forever. I'm sure one can be designed to handle whatever. It might cost you a arm leg and testicle, but that's besides the point.

Troy, I honestly wouldnt go with a Treo or RD or possible the level 6(have you seen the prices? PM me I know a DC dealer well) The SS XXX wouldn't be a terrible choice.(I have mixed feelings though) I know you might not wanna hear this but, a AA SMD is prolly your best option. That is if you can't get anymore T3. But I know why your prolly not looking at those but personally I think its a BMF sub. But if prices on DC, PM me. I'll give you dealer price to give you a idea.

I don't think those sub could quiet take the power Troy is planning on running. I love Fi and SSA as much as anybody, but a 3inch coil is only going to take so much.

Please read the post before this. I said from the picture I first saw it looked similar, but it was a poor quality picture. Also, only reason I'm trying to say they are similar is because of people saying Crescendo is to cheap. But yet its very similar to DC's amps(there are a lot of DC nuthuggers, who swear DC is the best). Not trying to say Crescendo copied or anything. I'm not really a DC Fan, but you say this in like 66% of your posts. Makes you seem mad hater-ish. Someone could just as easily come over here from SMD and say everyone here are SSA nuthuggers or Fi Nuthuggers but duh. This is the SSA FORUM. DC is a sponsor over there so naturally all the DC fans go over there. I'm just sayin... Anyway, I need a 150x4 dammit! Me likey for my shiz to match.... If I need to say something about DC, I'm not going to hold back or any company for that matter. Now if I being up DC or whatever randomly, sure. I could see your point. But in this thread? No. As these amps are similar, and need to be pointed out so people don't go pay a great deal more for very similar. And if you was ever on that other forum, you would see what I'm and the others are saying. Nut hugging is one thing, but they are getting pushy with sales. You don't see any sales man over here... Sure, they're on here, but they don't push their product and push their product and push their product over everything else. Instead of letting the customer come to their on conclusion. That's why Sundown is an innovator not an imitator I'm not saying its a bad thing having a openly tooled board, but when the company acts like it is far better than the rest WITH the same or very similar board. That's what gets me. Jake, is Sundown planning on release any other amps in the future? Or is the line pretty full for the moment? I'm ready to see what the sister company has to offer...You ever get any protos for these?

I totally understand dropping the 4500d, seems a couple of other companies are using that board now. It always seems Sundown has the boards before most and then by the time the other companies come out with them, Sundown has already moved on to bigger and better things. I'm anxious to hear the details.
