This is a little offtopic so excuse me, but I believe that the 12" XXX in 06 direct was around 650 bucks. Now thats what I call a pretty good deal for the sub.

When I did my big 3, I didn't notice a change either, but it did make me feel better on the inside.

Maybe there getting ready for a new basket? I hope so. As I see the proto 8 is getting a new one, why not this one? I think they should, get some new stuff in the market, I mean, the Icon has been making a huge name for itself, now get a new, innovative sub that dominates and they will have one of the best line ups there is. x2 there. we agree. i would be interested in a new frame as well.. if it didnt hurt the pricing much, AND the woofer needed it! im curious to see how this woofer pans out, and certianly hope the best for ssa. True, if they can do what they want SPL, SQ and excursion wise with a 12 spoke keep it versus raising the price for a different basket. I would like to see a XXX type 50mm+ Xmax sub from SSA I'd love to see a comparable sub to the XXX come out without near the price tag.

SSD and Sundown 1000d is a pretty good match. Or a Kicker 750.1. Both good amps. But the coil options need to fit whichever amp you get. Kickers need to be wired at 2ohms, so you'll need a dual 1. To able to reach at 2ohm in series. What amp do you have now?

Ima go out on a limb here and say, a Havoc recone kit? Sometimes its not best to put any ol sub parts in a motor. What more you looking for out your Havoc?

LOL... im running two,.... Even still, 8.8 is still big for that kind of power on a BL. I do 7ish cubes tuned to whatever you feel like. I think anything below 32hz is a lost in spl, IMO.

Why not run the 3000d at .5ohm for comps? No big deal, if its only for a short burp. There is no need to recone the sub everytime u want to do a comp.
