  1. morel tempo components or hertz hi-power components would be my suggestion.
  2. Jacob said it better.
  3. Jacob, i'll be sending you money for 2 soon. Just waiting on my brother to give me the cash for them.
  4. ANL> than circuit breakers imo. Circuit breakers are more accurate but get trip happy. I prefer them both. both in the same install is not only overkill, it's wasted voltage/and or/ current.

  6. yup thats my R/T and it is a cervini kit but i decided to not go with the exhaust blow through skirt due to the fact it robbs horse power noo many sharp bends:) Shes hella dirty I love the look of that kit. I know what you mean about the exhaust routing though.
  7. is that a cervini sniper kit on that dakota in the background... and if it is does it have the sideskirts with the side exit exhaust? Nice mr3
  8. Bigger magnets aren't everything. Although a large diameter single slug is a big thing. It isn't all of what makes a sub efficient. A suspension that is soft enough to allow a lot of movement without too much movement, a super light cone etc. A long voice coil with a very linear throw followed by just enough power and enough (but not too much) motor strength. And that is all very general. If you want to design transducers you need a lot of schooling and patience.
  9. I think you'd be better off going with the 7000 watt model. Like you said, for the cost of this 4000 watt model, they could simply double up on 3000D's and have more power available. I think the 3000D is holding its own in that wattage range. If you offered something to compete with the Stetsom 7KD or Cactus Sounds 7Kw, I think you'd be much better off. the problem with that is that very few people buy amps of that size and I get the feeling that Jacob wants to enter into the market that is dominated by the likes of Zapco and Arc Audio If you look around, there are quite a few people that have bought 4x 1500D's or 4x 3000D's, they could replace those four amps with either 1 or 2 of the 7Kws and maintain efficiency and space. The market is there, however the product is not. A lot of people won't touch Stetsom for daily because they have been known to be burp-only amps. how many average customers buy 7kw amps? not very many Jacob is focusing on his core business the guys that walk into the shop and have X ammount of cash to spend and they want a quality piece such as Zapco and just cant afford it I understand that, but with the 3000D already in place I don't see a need for a 4000 watt amp. For daily, I don't see a whole lot of people looking for 4000 watts. For competitions, they could use two 3000D's for the same price and have more power, both for burps and continuous (bassrace), than the 4000 watt offers. I think a 5000 or 7000 watt amp would be the better move. Regulated Power Supplies= better for bass race. The amps will put out a much more consistent amount of power even as your vehicle voltage is dropping.
  10. Im 10 min from albany in schodack Cool deal, maybe I'll see one of your builds someday
  11. Welcome to SSA. I'm in the Albany NY area
  12. I'll do my best next summer to get the car out to as many people on the east coast as possible. Representing Audio Obsessions and SSA. I also have a project in the works for the rest of my supporters, it will be built around the same time as this car.
  13. Hybrid Audio Technologies Hertz Image Dynamics Horns Morel Dynaudio Focal Mb Quart and than there is the best option: Processing + HAT or your separates.
  14. Nick, I think he hears coil rub... Idk maybe they got damaged in shipping.
  15. Rockford Fosgate 360.2 or you could just get a pioneer 880prs or an elcipse 7200 mkII
  16. As previously mentioned I have a few friends in the local area. I'm not bashing Hybrid audio, but I will be looking for a true SQ car for those speakers. The Elate's 20hz bottom end on the woofer makes a sub not necessary and I like to support all of my car audio friends as often as possible. If it wasn't for Adam and Audio Obsessions, I wouldn't be where I am today.
  17. yea, I could always play with a couple of them myself. My sad update is that the jeep patriot will not be seeing a dedicated subwoofer with the fronts I picked out (besides my front speakers will reach down to 20 hz.)
  18. I'm going subless. So the zapco 650.6 will be perfect. My entire sound system is going to be composed of morel elate 9 3-ways. 20-25k hz covered and all in factory mounting positions as well. Now I just need to start saving up the dough.
  19. A great mid-bass option for your budget is the MLI-65 speaker from Mach 5 audio. 36$ for a pair iirc.
  20. Sorry, I caught up on some reading. I don't know what the coupon codes are but you probably still have to email SSA for them.
  21. H/O alts range from 280-600 for most cars.. Some of the newer computer controlled alts cost more. Ohio Gen is normally on the more expensive side, but I have yet to see one fail from poor production.
  22. I stopped by Audio Obsessions yesterday to get quotes for my brothers truck and the owner was there. He told me to go upstairs and look at some of his new inventory (audison/hertz/ the new image dynamics stuff/ and this lone zapco amp I saw sitting in the corner). So while I was snooping around (and making sure my 2005 Diamond D7 amp was still sitting hidden in a corner up there) I grabbed the zapco box and brought it downstairs to look at. I know zapco is good stuff and all. I like the idea of doing a single amp install in my stealth build as well. I also love the idea of grabbing my laptop and using digital crossovers etc. It looks like it will be a fun toy, now if I can just figure out if those 8" subs will fit in my rear doors.
  23. I have toyed around with the 360.2 and the h701. But seeing as this isn't an SQ comp vehicle, just an awesome sounding daily driver; I am hesitant to spend over 600$ in processing, if this amp is capable of handling what I am looking for.
  24. I need to stop filling my head with ideas of doing a stealth install in my Jeep, I should probably focus on home audio. A nice 26 cubic foot sealed box for a few 18"s should piss the neighbors off and make movies like jurassic park, blackhawk down etc... really enjoyable. But who am I kidding. I will most likely do my stealth install and than feel the need to be unsatisfied in my audio world until I get done with college.
  25. email SSA for best pricing to find out.
