  7. what? why? From Fi: Q 12 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of .8-1.5 cubic feet of volume. Ported box we recommend using 1.8-2.5 cubic feet @ 28-33Hz (I personally think that a 32 Hz tuning is optimal, and has the most output and is still the most musical daily driving). Use 12-16 square inches of vent area per one cubic foot of enclosure volume.
  8. I would say sub back port back would be the best sounding option in your case. Unless you want to look into a 4th order ported through rear deck.
  9. I would say when you tune to 32Hz, It gives you the ability to play about 10Hz below tuning and sound well and also get good mid range bass from the woofers. That's why they recommend this tuning in their cut sheets. The Fs of the Q 12 D2 is 34, so I wouldn't tune much farther below 32.
  10. you could try that, and see how it sounds, but perhaps your subs facing the backseat and being closer to the front of the trunk will rattle the rear deck more
  11. like 40-60Hz. If you tune to 31-32 you will hit these frequencies very loudly with 12's.
  12. is it sub back port back?
  13. This would be a very nice sounding and loud set up. This would be my dream set up =]
  14. If you tune to 30 Hz at that volume for the Qs, havocs, sundown x, Icon, and supply them with clean power, you will be able to clear up the low notes without a problem. Tuning as low as 27Hz will take away from all the mid range, but if that's what you want, its worth a try to your liking.
  15. The Fi Q is my favorite woofer. Other than my RE XXX v3 =]
