  1. You shouldn't go by BTL cut sheets..
  2. The box I built for a HTQS pre-09 SSD 12" was 1 cu. ft. so definitely go larger.
  3. I think sonic is trying to get rid of their old stock type Rs for 100 a pop
  4. get your sp4 set up correct. this time around.
  5. its worth a try. You can build a sealed box in a flash
  6. You should be able to big 3, good wire, and batteries to maintain. You really don't want to go cheap on an alt.
  7. The box Fi provides cut sheets for is 1.25 cubes. I would do that. You should have a noticeable difference with a larger sealed box. even if its less than .5 cubes
  8. 1 cu. ft is what they recommend for the SSD. For the Q, you will need about 1.5-1.8
  9. I normally like to hear my music.
  10. The term lab is the worst thing that ever happened to car audio
  11. No problem. Sounds like you're ready to get crazy. Thumbs up!
  12. 16 should be good. A little bigger wouldn't hurt. I would shoot for 4-4.3 cu each. I would say about 14-18 sq inches of port per cu foot.
  13. so you're @ 13 cubes with 3 woofers? What are you wired to now?
  14. I agree. People could have been more helpful here..
  15. I have 2 Q drivers I'll be saving for a summer bump down.
  16. I still am seeing spacers on these. I ordered a recone with HiXmcoil, so I think I will need one to prevent the coil from slamming the raised motor lip.
  17. That motor structure looks crazy.
  18. No. High Qts only makes the coil gap a bit larger to take away some motor force away from the driver and helps with maintaining its linearity at high excursion levels. A sub without the HQTS option will still perform well in reasonable volumes of a sealed enclosure with good output.
  19. Got the motor in and its in really good condition. Ready to recone. With the longer coil would I need a spacer or use washers? anyone?
  20. If they are the same that would save me time and money. Did some research.. They are the same gap and coils what the set up height for the spiders are different. So its a no go.
  21. I think I saw someone say that the gaps are the same in both these drivers. Reason why I'm asking is this guy has a recone for an N2 selling it at a decent price and I have a UFO motor coming my way. You think I'll run into any issues?
  22. Does the UFO BTL motor have enough clearance to mount inside an enclosure as a 12"... LOL 11.25" hole
  23. I agree, but in the same sense, it takes a long time to get recones from Fi/SSA.
