sp4 gen cut sheet
You shouldn't go by BTL cut sheets..

Low output below 35-40hz and High QTS in a ported enclosure
The box I built for a HTQS pre-09 SSD 12" was 1 cu. ft. so definitely go larger.

Sub Selection for 500 watts RMS in Sealed Enclosure

its worth a try. You can build a sealed box in a flash

needing altenator for 03 blazer
You should be able to big 3, good wire, and batteries to maintain. You really don't want to go cheap on an alt.

Low output below 35-40hz and High QTS in a ported enclosure
The box Fi provides cut sheets for is 1.25 cubes. I would do that. You should have a noticeable difference with a larger sealed box. even if its less than .5 cubes

1 cu. ft is what they recommend for the SSD. For the Q, you will need about 1.5-1.8

SP4 Quad Box question
16 should be good. A little bigger wouldn't hurt. I would shoot for 4-4.3 cu each. I would say about 14-18 sq inches of port per cu foot.

thoughts on subs
I have 2 Q drivers I'll be saving for a summer bump down.

BTL UFO single slug spacer
I still am seeing spacers on these. I ordered a recone with HiXmcoil, so I think I will need one to prevent the coil from slamming the raised motor lip.
-
FS: DSS Magnetar
That motor structure looks crazy.
-
FI Q12 sounds horrible
No. High Qts only makes the coil gap a bit larger to take away some motor force away from the driver and helps with maintaining its linearity at high excursion levels. A sub without the HQTS option will still perform well in reasonable volumes of a sealed enclosure with good output.

BTL UFO single slug spacer
Got the motor in and its in really good condition. Ready to recone. With the longer coil would I need a spacer or use washers? anyone?

BTL N2 ~ UFO Gaps
If they are the same that would save me time and money. Did some research.. They are the same gap and coils what the set up height for the spiders are different. So its a no go.

BTL N2 ~ UFO Gaps
I think I saw someone say that the gaps are the same in both these drivers. Reason why I'm asking is this guy has a recone for an N2 selling it at a decent price and I have a UFO motor coming my way. You think I'll run into any issues?

PSI Subs
I agree, but in the same sense, it takes a long time to get recones from Fi/SSA.
