  1. You might want to talk to Scott over at Fi (forums are here).
  2. The truck should still be under warranty; I'd take it in and make a huge deal about it and force them to install a new (factory) H.U.
  3. I always thought CRX's were one of the easiest cars to get loud...
  4. Kind of a dick thing to say... I roll in a BMW, but I'm not going to talk down about your chevy truck. At least not in a post you made about how much you liked it. Bad taste...but I guess that's what we see from you time and time again...nothing new there. who are you? I have no clue what you're saying about what you see coming from me time and time again. seriously, its just what I thought about what he did to his ride. What's the point of him posting his ride if he's only gonna get positive statements about it? Because he put a lot of time and hardwork into it; something you clearly don't understand (seeing as how you wouldn't even look for the power rating on an RLp-18 when it's listed on their site). As for the car, looks great! The amount of work and money you put into it is quite admirable!
  5. It'll look great next to my Sundown sticker
  6. Sorry if this has already been asked, but is there going to be a pre-order for this sub?
  7. Hmm, now I have to think about getting it or not...
  8. I'll buy a 15" if you'll both sign it
  9. Now, this may be a stupid question, but how do you FORGET that you have EIGHT subs in a HUGE ported box?
  10. They were loud in the old boxes, and in the new box they're not. How do you fix that? Put them back in the old boxes! Just fix the "leaking" box with some liquid nails or other wood caulking material. Edit: What 12"s are they? What are the dimensions of the old boxes; new box?

You just asked this last week...http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=8717
  12. Yeah, the boxes kinda confused me, but I've got it now. Thanks for the help!
  13. First off, this doesn't seem very mono block to me (tis a two channel amp), but anyway... Could someone explain to me how you would wire up a single SVC sub? The diagram on page 5 shows bringing a line to both power outputs on the speaker positive connections, and no line to the negatives at all. This doesn't make any sense to me. Do you link the two negatives together, and run one positive to the speaker's positive, and the other positive to the speaker's negative?
  14. Bah, I'm up in Grand Rapids, MI, but I don't feel like driving down with these gas prices :/
  15. Is there just the one pre-out for an amp on that Valor? If so, could I run an rca from one amp's pre-out to another amps input? (I'd be running a Sundown SAE-1000D for the subs and an SAE-100.2 for the front stage).
  16. Big E replied to J.C's topic in Fi Technical
Dual 1 both wired in series, then wired together in parallel.
  17. You own the truck, not us. Measure it up and find out yourself. Then tell us how much room (or even the dimensions) you have to work with. If you do a wall, I'm sure you could easily fit 4 15's though.
  18. I'd go with the Fi SSD.
  19. I'm currently in the process of redoing my sound stage. I'm going to replace my Alpine, the front Kickers with either Focal or Rainbow components (rear fill will stay Kicker 6x9s), and most likely 2 Mach 5 15's on a Sundown SAE-1000D. I figured an in-dash T.V. head unit would help pull the chicks , not to mention I could put my XBox in my car http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1168044601606 It seems like a good in-dash video head unit, and the store near me has it for $400, hence why I'm thinking of getting it. Does anybody have any experience with these?
  20. I don't see why you couldn't just run straight from the battery to the alternator, and throw a fuse in between that line.
  21. Don't rush into it and end up wasting money, especially since you're going to be starting your own shop; you're going to want all the extra money you can have. I'd say you're a LONG ways off from making a shop if you still don't know what you want to carry. I'd put some thought into what you're going to carry before you build up this SUV, since, as suggested earlier, you should probably only use what you're going to carry.
  22. I'd probably go with the MAGs. They'd probably get louder than the Qs. helo is right though, unless you're giving them each their own amp, you're not going to end up with a 1 or 4 ohm load.
  23. Sounds good. I was looking at getting some Rainbow's for my front stage -- it'll be a while before i re-do my front stage though, so I'm not in a big hurry.
  24. drwang84, what you're experiencing is called "denial". You're tricking yourself into believing that it's doing something.
