  1. i did that i came up with about 32 feet..but i just want to make sure there will be no surprises.. You have 3 of those Kicker 0 gauge kits, correct? That would mean you have 120 ft of wire....you're BEYOND set. You can probably sell one of those kits, or hold it for later use.
  2. Buy a 100' spool of string (maybe $2?). Use it to determine how long your runs need to be. Run wires. The end. No, I think you're just complicating things. You should have stated up front that you had 60 feet of power wire already. Your 60 feet should be MORE than enough.
  3. You should be all set then?
  4. I've got the proto of these and I love it! I've got it in my room on 150W dayton plate amp and it gets pretty loud! Sounds really good though.
  5. Actually, IIRC, the SAE lines do true power at 13.8V.

Gas is 3.69 up here and it's supposed to keep going up Oh, if anybody has a kid that's looking for a cell phone, here's a nice new way to say 'no': You're going to get hit by a car and die.
  7. Page 2 and still no pics? Get some pics up!! (Oh, and nice scores!)
  8. I just picked one up It should like nice next to my SAE 1000D.
  9. You can always switch the music on the thumb drive...8 gig is probably the way I would go.
  10. I personally choose the lighter fluid/gasoline way It burned steady for about 10 minutes at this height before shrinking down a bit. (It was filled with some kindling and logs) (The guy next to it is about 6 ft tall) How about the rest of you?
  11. At least she didn't catch her old man's ugly!!! lol jk jk Congratulations on the healthy baby girl!
  12. While we're on the subject of new amps, how about those new 2ch and 4ch amps?
  13. I've built quite a few boxes over the last few years, and they've all been with screws. However, I have the opportunity of getting a brad nailer (either a Hitachi or Porter and Cable) for free. It seems like brad nailing would make things go a lot faster, but I have no experience with them. I was wondering which you guys prefer, and why?
  14. No, it was about a 1-2mph bump if that. I grew up a body shop, so it's an easy fix. At 1-2 mph I would have tried that really big pedal on the left side
  15. Trust me im not about to cook my new sub on a wall socket... i have it in a 7cf boxx @ 36Hz with 3k warming it up a lil i have till sunday too loosen it up a lil So how do yall like the new LB MOAB XxX ? I'm pretty sure he was talking about you cooking YOUR LIFE! I'm all for the wall socket...that thing's a beast, it can take it!
  16. I have my 15" Icon in that exact box (4cb.ft. at 30 hz) and I love the way it sounded! It gets plenty loud when I want it to and it sounds very clean and accurate the whole time. I am running it off an SAE 1000D
  17. It only costs more because they are refining less of it. If everything switched over to diesel, prices would go down on it. (not to mention we could use those other sources as well).
  18. While this is true, diesel would help to relieve some of the dependence, as diesel does not need to be refined as much, so there is not as much waste. Turbo diesels are also known to get 35 MPG+ when used in passenger vehicles, which again would help to alleviate some of the dependency while we search for a more permanent solution. I have seen things about using vegetable oil/old frying grease for fuel...guess what kind of engines those get put into: diesels.

If you didn't have a lifted Lincoln, people probably wouldn't want to rob you so much IMO the only reason you should be cutting up a car is for a bigger engine or more wheel travel (for dedicated off-road vehicles)...not for bigger, completely impractical, rims. But, like everybody's saying, it's your car, do what you want. It definitely isn't going to stop SSA from laughing at you...but it is YOUR money so do what you like.
  20. Did you make sure to clean and remove all paint and dirt from the new grounding spot?
  21. Running a 16V charging system is a good way to stay above 14.5V...
  22. Wait...you bought an amp knowing nothing about it, and now you want US to tell you about YOUR amp?
  23. Well this just made up my mind for me I'll be ordering one next paycheck!

What is the advantage with using overkill instead of another layer of damplifier?
