what is your eletrical system like, and do u care that you will not have a warrenty if ran that low of an ohm load.
  3. and not to mention availability, and if u willing to buy used or not.
  4. ok, i mean by bandpass like set the highpass for around the tuning frequency of the port and set the lowpass around 80ish or what ever when i tune it.
  5. yea but i already have a ported ensclure that has what jacob recommends for them.
  6. hi, i have 2 sundown sd1 v1 12" and i am thinking about using them until i can get enough money to buy to system i really want so if i can limit how much i spend the better. anyway i already have a sundown sax100.2 that i was going to use to power them but the problem being that it does not have a subsonic filter on it. and i was wondering if i could get away with using my alpine 9887 crossovers and my sax100.2 crossovers and bandpass it, if that would ok an ok alternative.
  7. heres a comparsion review of the two. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=14193
  8. if u feel like waiting a week or so you can get an authorized refurb sae1000d here for 250 . http://www.db-r.com/sell/store/index.php?productID=147
  9. hi, i have 200 bucks to buy an amp to use to power my re audio xxx comps that i am finally installing. and i am wondering should i get a refurb sax100.2 from db-r and go passive or a new eclipse audio xa4000 and try to do active with them and i have an alpine 9887 for the processing. so it is more like what would you do type thread.
  10. ok thanks. i think i thought it was only clay because i only saw what it looked like at the end.
  11. hi, i have been doing so searching and i see that some people use clay as a spacer and i am wondering 2 things. how well they work and the other being how do you do it. cuz i need 2" spacers on the cheap side and all i could think of on how to get the clay to work for me is use something like these http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores...03+501959+90025 to give the clearance and then just fill in the space with clay and more then likely us fiberglass resin to make sure it is seal.
  12. yea it's red i found a pic. http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/index.php?optio...10&Itemid=5
  13. hi, i am helping a freind install re audio xxx comps and i took off the tag that said if the red or the blue was the postive and i am wondering if anyone can tell me how to figure out which is which and or if someone has a set that might know.
  14. na 4 bolts and 1 hard tug. lol but me modfying the bottom bracket to hold down the jack that is going to be a pita( thats the metal that is still in there)
  15. should i have the fan point on the power supply side or the other side.
  16. i would pick the kx1500 and u are aware though that the saz15000d would have no warrenty running at .5 ohms right.
  17. ok here are some pics. i found this on top of it and more haha's here is a pic of the truck. i think it going to look funny when a get tints on it and i put a solar yellow sundown audio banner across the wind shield.
  18. hi, my truck has 2 jump seats. ( one on each side) and i only need 1 so i figure that i can use the empty the space to mount my sax100.2 for my 2 sdl v1 12" and my soon to be sax100.4 under the driver's seat and use the passenger side as the access to the one jump seat so it wount get kicked or anything. and i am wondering will this cause any heating issue's with the sax100.2 because it will have a cover on it to make it look farirly stock, i was thinking of maybe adding a cross flow type fan but i figure i would ask before i go ahead and do it. if u want i can most pics of it tomorrow,
  19. which would give me the most midbass ib or that way.
  20. alpine 9887 ,by rear of truck i mean in the extended cab part. the g/f's son sits back there and thinks that i am not considering him if i only run front stage ( using the same set up
  21. hi, i am going to be install mli 65 in the rear of my truck and there is a hole for them so there are going to need to be in a small sealed or ported enslcure ( i havent decided) and these are the tweeters i am going to be using. http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=1466 and i am wondering what is the recommend cubic feet for them for midrange ( up to around 3k hz but i would like as much midbass a possable.
  22. i would get them tested and keep the big one as a second battery depending on the size of the other one as a maybe a starting battery? i say test them because just cuz they look new doesnt mean they havent been sitting for a while. and also if i remeber correctly optima are good batteries but for the money you can do better.
  23. i'm interested in the "x" series ones, i was going to buy the prototype but when i had the money it finally got sold
  24. i can fit the sax100.2 under the seats where as a sax100.4 will stick out an inch or so. and thanks.
