  1. u guys bash people too much ( granted u guys are refering to 95% of people and i admit i'm in there) but i gave u guys more info then just for subs i told the front stage the head unit and the amps used, i was just asking about the subs since i never used 10" subs before. but after some thinking i may just do a 12" ported and tune it low ( upper 20's) and that is so i can fit more then just 1 person in the truck. but if i go that route i may use a sub that can handle more wattage like an aa havoc or an older re XXX.
  2. hi, i just got me a 02 king cab nissan fronteir and i have around 3 ft^3 of air space to play with. i could do more but i would like to keep the ensclure below the back window line. i figure since i dont have that much space it would have to be sealed. so i am looking for sound quality but would like it to be able to drop low and be decently loud and i listen to rap and r and b. so i am wondering would 2 12" icons powerd off of a saz1500d or a saz2000d since this wont be happening until after xmas with 1.5 ft^3 for each sub be louder and cleaner then 3 10" icons on a 3000d ( roughly 750 rms on each sub) with 1 ft^3 per sub. the front stage will consist 2 of the hyrid audio Legatia Series - Two-Way Component Systems , off of 2 sax100.2 active and using a 9887 for the processing. thank you for your time.
  3. received mine today
  4. how would we go about ordering them cuz i am interested in 2 of them
  5. if it means anything i would rather get a used sae1kd then a new 800d because of that fact that i belive u said in another thread the build house is in china for the 1200d.
  6. that is actully what i have mine doing. but with the alpine type 6.5 comp and only things that i have a complaint are these: runs warm even with all windows down and backseat down so the wind can hit it. and when i take my monster 402 rca off for whatever reason it takes off the ground sheild for the rca input to.
  7. how is the outside of the sax100.2 refurb that is 185, cant really tell by pic.
  8. the only bad thing i read about them has to do with the tweeter not the midbass driver( besides it's size).
  9. so when is that 3000d u got during ces going to be for sale?
  10. Consumer Electronics Show
  11. front and back. and i have freinds that set in the back ( its a sedan) thats mostly why i run back speakers.
  12. ok then. now i have 2 sax100.2 and a 9887 for processoring. would it be bad to have the highs going to one sax100.2 and midrange going to the other sax100.2 and then connect 2 midranges per channel on a sax100.2 ( for a total of four midranges) and then do the same thing for the tweeters on the other sax100.2
  13. hi, a freind has given me his set of alpine type r componots but one has a blown midbass driver. now i am wondering is there anyway that i can find out what the highpass and lowpass is set at? they are the newer ones that have an 110 rms rating
  14. not really the 2000d will be more like 2200 to 2300 more then likely. so the 1500d still will have it's place.
  15. u should have done one for 4 of those though, oh well i guess i am only buying a set then
  16. since this thread was brought up. any thing planned to make the sax100.2 run cooler?
  17. looks nice, but i would be more afraid of the vinyl falling off from the heat then have the vinyl cause heating problems.
  18. i have the oppsosite problem with my ea alt. the pulley it has is to wide and the under stress it gets misaligned which makes the auto tensiour grind at idle. u may have an auto tensiour problem since most are made for the amount of groove the belt is suppose to have. so running a narrow one may put to much stress the belt.
  19. u could try like a 3sixty.1 type device but it seems to much to do just for the subs
  20. i may and just use a saz1500d on them instead of a 3000d like i was going to do. but was i right about the displacement thing, if it has less displacement then the port would be tuned a little lower
  21. ok a couple of months ago i had woodlawn cabinetry build an ensclure for the subs that i thought i was going to use. well like a couple of weeks ago it arrived. and i really like it but the subs i had told him i was going to use i no longer want to use. so i figured that if the subs that i wind up using have a smaller displacement then the ones i was going to use then the port would be tuned a little lower and vise versa for bigger. now am i wrong and the ensclure is a 4.5 c^3 tuned to 33hz after displacement, common chambered for 2 12" ICONS. i want to use either 2 eclipse sw7200 or 2 12" aa aresanals powered by a sae1000d if u want to know.
  22. one more question about the 9887. on my pioneer deh680mp it had a feature where u could just run the front channels and turn the rear one into a sub channel. does the 9887 have something simailr.
  23. are u measureing the voltage from the amp outputs or the rca wire because the rca is going to be that low.
