Volume
lol does your subs look like this?? if i took a DMM and measured .93 volts at 50 out of 60 volume from the preamps, does that mean that i would nearly max out the gain on the amp if the sensitivity was .15-5volts?

Build for my uncles 2010 Camry
funny thing is ive only been doing car audio since around october last year towards the end of the school semester, so i can't say if it sounds good or not. i mean it sounds good to me but to some of the more experienced people who have been around audio longer may say that it sounds like garbage. but all noobness aside it definetely sounds good, the tweeter are a little bright for me but my uncle likes it. as for the midbass i think it may need to loosen up a bit. the first piece of equipmetn i got for my car was a set of polks for my door since i went crazy with the bass setting on the HU and blew the surround off, and polks sounded like crap when first i got it.. but about a month later i cranked it up and was like F*** YEAH!!! then i got subs. as for the wiring, i didn't really look into bi-amp until after i gave the car back to him, but i def wouldve gone that route instead of amping his stock rear 6x9s and turning the gain down on it. and mid-range im going to assume you mean the vocals... it sounds good, you can clearly hear it over the bass. i apologize for my noobness

Build for my uncles 2010 Camry
i did this a few weeks ago for my uncle and finally decided to upload it. ENJOY!! d2 JL W6, and Slash v1 500/1 and 300/4. this stuff is like more than 5 years old, but still slams.... continue a few cuts and a smoke break nice fit, and he still has access to the the spare... which he didn't in his old car subs in, plexi in... plz dont hate on the plexi cut, home depot and lowes wont cut 1/2in plexi,.. so in went the router... everything fits perfectly some carpet and neons, showed him and then he wanted to amp the door speakers... i refused to do it unless he got at least some comps for the front. upon removing the radio for the first time. i found this and a navigation box that didn't work, it lit up and all but didn't work so i took it out. also i used a stinger LOC before this on the rear 6x9s before he wanted the 300/4, also i found out he had preamps on his stock POS headunit. 4 volts front and rear, 2 volts sub FTW!! Rockford T1 components... they said it wouldn't fit HAA!! it fit like a glove stock tweeter location, a little bright for my taste, but whatevs two more neons on under the rear deck and voila!!

silly amp...
my amp has been magnetized sitting in my closet for a few days. screws and tools will get pulled to it...is this a bad thing?

Aeroport first time
im planning on going with an aeroport my next build but my box dimensions no matter what will not accomadate the necessary length. has anyone ever tried, or even heard of using elbows on their aeroports?? it would be pretty sweet to fit a 6" or 8" aeroport into a box without having to extend it outside the box. of course you would need to brace the port in certain places.

Aeroport first time
PSP4-BKH-5 - 4" x 5" unit that includes 1 outside flare with mounting holes, 1 inside falre, and 1 connecting ring. 6" overall length with only 5" usable because of flares on both ends. http://www.psp-inc.com/products_4.html im just going by the book
-
Aeroport first time
Yes that is total length. If you are using an inner flare you will need to add another inch as well. I'm pretty sure they only include the single flare in the calculator. some where on the psp site it says that you add 1/2" to your port for each flare. and you do get both ends flared, so in the end you would add 1" to it. so if you were to cut an 11" flared port, only 10 inchs would be available as a port. 1/2" of each end is ineffective in tuning.

SAX-1200D with Line Out Converter(LOC)
im pretty sure that you will still need a remote turn on for the amplifier anyways, someone please correct me if im wrong. i also bought my LOC from sonixelectronics.com but i got the stinger fixed line out converter, its a lot cheaper than the audiocontrol which i havent used but the stinger works well, in both my car and my friends. only problem is that the inputs are really small, i barely got 16gauge wire to fit and also they have tiny screws on them. just make sure you tightly secure the wires. as for the connections itself, they are just speaker inputs and a ground input for noise, but i never encountered any issues with noise pickup.

Aeroport first time
lets say you were going to go with multiple ports, the psp calculator says like 10 inch of port for a single aeroport, but when i put input 2 ports into the equation it gives me a crazy number like 20+ of port. is this divided into each port or would it be 20+ for each of my ports. ive been playing with the numbers so i can't say exactly what net volume or size of aeroport. but you get the idea...

4 channel amp wiring question, opinions
lol so i checked just to make sure and splitting doesn't change the voltage. sorry for any confusion... TEST: same volume, 1K hz test tone, could've done a 50hz but i dont have high pass on the doors, shouldve done it though cuz the 1K hurt my ears :/, 2 DMM, same .5 volts each. i did this at low volume 15 out of 60. those rockfords are sweet, i just installed the t1 6.5s in my uncles car last week... and they said it wouldnt fit B) custom FTW!!

4 channel amp wiring question, opinions
is splitting rcas like wiring speakers in parallel? for instance if you had 4volts preamp would it create 2volts per channel? dont mean to thread jack but my question does kinda pertain to your topic. btw what kinda of components are you running? i was thinking of doing the same thing except with except i would take out one of the tweeters.

too much deadener??
AQ1200 and kicker L7 2ohm 2.2 cu.ft. tsunami 4gauge big 3 and wires/stock alt stock jbl HU stinger fixed LOC Problem solved. the stinger LOC has tiny screws on the inputs and they aparently came loose since i installed it two or three months ago. it would actually explain why some days it would slam and others not so much. the stinger unit is mounted under the dash behind the glove box so i hardly ever go back there. thanks for the help though. and ive played around with the box positioning, its in the "sweet spot" right now but most definately time for an upgrade, thinking of an icon 15" it looks SOOOOoooo SWEET!!!
