I've been looking at those Yukon XL's. I must say they are really nice. Honestly every car I have owned has been a GM, Oldsmobiles and Buicks. Those cars with the v6 last forever. I'm new to the truck scene. I have no problem with Ford as I would buy a Mustang over a new Camaro in a heartbeat. I guess I was looking at Chevys from a looks perspective as they don't look as dated as Fords do when the newer models come out. Advantage is I have ample time to decide, no money has been spent and, I can do more research. I just can bring myself to wall out the Buick other wise, I'd already have some 18"s. It really takes a special kind of guy to wall out a car....BALLS!!! FYI, I'm poor so no Benz G wagons, Porche trucks, Escalades unless it's a gen 1.

Wow, I was really feeling the GM trucks in term of looks. Honestly I don't want to cross a line where I could buy a newer model for a few dollars more. Obviously the lower mileage used ones are in the 14-16k range. Also, the models until '06 look more solid. I like Expeditions but why is the same year with same features Ford cheaper than the Chevy?

Didn't think about the Yukon, hmmm... Like I said in an earlier post goal is bass but I would take it on occasional trips. I just wasn't sure what's a good price to pay and what mileage range would be good?

I'm in the market for a new to me used vehicle. I am interested in a suv. My choices would be a Tahoe or Suburban 2004-2006. How much would you guys pay for a decent used one? How many miles? Is there a preference for either one? Goal is to build a "loud clean system with some 18"s". I would hate to destroy a new truck with all the bass so that is why I'm thinking used would be better. I need opinions and suggestions here...

Dude, you can't milk man breast so why force something that just won't happen. Rock what you have and save for another vehicle. A hard top car or suv and those same subs will sound loads better. Heck if you do a suv you could do some SSA 18"s and do a number on that Jeep; I see in your future a build with some Evil's. If you just have to get some new subs knock yourself out. These guys on this forum have been doing it for a long time and I respect and trust their opinions. Do what you want.

Come on Swift, I think he gets an A for effort. It's a start. It's creative. I see the potential. Remember the times when we and our friends first got cars. Some were awesome others were not so but it was still cool because we were rollin' and had freedom!!! I would hot box that truck anyday!!!

There's not a whole lot out there that is different and I do like the idea of a hearse or old panel truck. When I think different, I'm seeing AMC Pacer, Chevy Chevette, Geo Metro, an Ambulance, Pontiac Fiero (good luck getting anything in there). I'm more traditional and would really love to tell you Suburban and take the 2nd, 3rd and, 4th rows out and go 8 x 18"s.

Used may be your best option. Hard to find that many watts for much less. Oh, you can try Pyramid, 10k watts for like 250.00.
