Indiana Jones Advance Screening Tonight!
well, it does have a lot of humor in it so that's a plus. At the beginning, there were a couple of camera tricks that were done i assume to prevent him from "working" to hard... or so i thought. When it happened so early in the movie i thought that was how the rest of the movie was gonna be but it wasn't. There was one other unrealistic scene later on after that but besides that, it started gettin REAL good afterwards. Movie is 2hrs long and well planned for that time allotted as well. Not dragged out with pointless boring scenes at all and displayed enough information to understand what was going on with the characters, enough what people would need to know. The ending was unexpected for an Indiana Jones movie but quickly followed with an Indiana Jones finish and some more humor. There is talks of another one in the future. Surprisingly enough, there is a lot of action that is still involved with this one. Mostly solo action though. You may be used to him having someone with him that helps out a lot. While there is someone always with him, he is the one that is doin all the work. That may have been a slight error in the fun factor of the movie by giving him too much main character scene time but nothing to argue about when it comes to the movie as a whole. I'd watch it again for sure.

Scion TC to weak?
ur lights will dim pretty nice. You will need to take it for 8 about 8 min spurts of very low listening on the stock alt to keep the front battery charged. Of course, anything longer than 8 minutes is better. I have a voltmeter on my battery terminal(i own a tC) and sometimes, it wasn't fully charged when i parked but most of the time it was. Usually only time it wasn't is when i was blastin on and off the entire time i was driving. This is off of a 1,500w amp.

alternator question

Important Kinetik Battery info for those with problems
i hope not! Can't charge over 14.3v on 16v.. that's a big nono, hehe. I have no idea what the max charge voltage is for their 16v. If you are asking what's the max charge voltage for their 16v hooked onto the 12v cell.... i would have to assume it is the same. the reason i would think that is why would they make all these batts and make this 16v totally different... But then again, who knows.... Only way to know for sure is ask them over the phone.

New-b here with amp comparison question...
in power comparison- The lanzar opti2000d would put out more power but only if you can keep the voltage above 13.2-13.5v That amp has been tested to do around 1,940w @13.8v but at 0.5ohm nominal. 1 ohm is around 1,600w. So, if you plan to run at 1 ohm nominal, sundown over lanzar for sure. The sundown can sustain it's output rating even at 11v, and the higher the voltage, the more power. I know nothing experience-wise about the Brutus line so i can't comment on it.

Another 2nd batt question
contacted Powermaster and talked to Scottie Johnson.. he don't know how to do it... Haha, i know you guys don't believe that if i put it on here, hehe. Ok, God.... i hate to say this.... it takes great courage to say this so bear with me... He said.....(clears throat)... um..... He said i need the dual solenoids between the front and rear due to how big the alternator is but i do not need them in between each batt in the back unless i was strictly doing something with the car off. Damnit.. I got lied to 3 times. Well... guess i gotta make a for sale thread now...

Important Kinetik Battery info for those with problems
well, while your thinkin about it, check this vid out- This is when i had one of em in a 7.9 cuft box tuned to 29hz. http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/Audioque/hd15.1.wmv

Important Kinetik Battery info for those with problems
if u got a box for the 15, bring it over when you get an amp to push it. Box size needs to be around 4 cubes NET tuned between 34-40hz. For ported, it is muddy, there is no other way around sayin that, it's loud as hell muddy.

well the new laws official
if someone were to market this device, i'm sure it sell like crazy- Companies who make radar detectors need to make a detector that can attenuate the stereo when a signal is detected. If they were both bluetooth, that'd be easy. I own an alpine w205 with blackbird II and when i receive a call, it just shuts off the music, i know it can be done but just don't know if it can be universal.

Important Kinetik Battery info for those with problems
A step up from yours? hehe, it's like comparing midbass to subwoofer, trust me. The amp that was on that sub, i metered it outputting between ~250-1018w of clean power. I then sent the amp into clipping and was able to get ~1,400w max but that was it. When these subs used to be made, they sold for $410 after shipping. Almost half off is killer deal. Rated for 1,000w... that's a joke. They are known for being able to take 2kw all day, 3kw for short term durations when done properly and up to 6kw on burps.

Yea, your alt is powerful enough. Even with an hc800, you "might" get quick spurts of dimming but that should only happen when the hc800 is temporarily discharged. You will be fine. That "sub" looks good next to a 260 price tag.(dual 2 ohm)

Another 2nd batt question
i also contacted a local shop around here that doesnt even carry stinger, they told me the same thing. I'm gonna get this straightened out with more feedback later on today.

wii gamers
yea, speaking of Mario kart, i'll go ahead and tell you this. I've tried playing a racing game before... it sucked big time. That damn wheel, i hate it! So, there is a company on ebay that is selling wheels with bases for them so you are not turning freehandedly and more realistically with a wheel secured down onto something. Haven't played them yet so didnt list them. And i keep on meanin to try out mario party 8, i've heard it's good before but havent had a chance to play it yet.

wii gamers

I have a list of the following that i've played myseld, i know other names but have never played yet so don't know how good other games are. Wii Sports Raving Rabbids Carnival Games

~~ SSA Protoype super8 ~~
Awesome, didnt have time to read it all so how much is it gonna be? whats the xmax and Fs? Is it already out? JUST PLAYIN, haha. I read it all. I'll tell ya what, sittin next to the Soundsplinter, if this thing performs like their's does, i hope it's very price competitive because to be honest in my opinion, i had considered doin a whole baffle of their 8s because of how strong they are until i seen their price tag and was impractical compared to others designs costing far less that i chose to do instead.

Another 2nd batt question
well, since i already ordered my Powermaster batts, i'm gonna do this thread a favor and contact 2 other companies about this topic. Powermaster and a Retailer of Powermaster and see what they both say.

Important Kinetik Battery info for those with problems
No problem. Hey phi, i'm not really saying in concrete he is fine with that setup, i was wondering if he had already ran his setup like that... i see he hasnt even got the alt yet. So, i suggest him to get at least something back there if he plans on it. Ruls of thumb would say he would need 100aH back there but i say if u already got the alt power to run the whole setup, then practically any battery power is sufficient in my opinion. If you had a 200A alt, i'd say you could just run caps and be fine. 170A i do not think is large enough for a just cap install, throw a small batt in there, like a 60-100aH batt and you should be fine. IF you had a 200A alt, i'd say an HC800 would be fine (if ur voltage is low enough) or some similar type cap.
-
Important Kinetik Battery info for those with problems
well, you actually have enough alt power to run your whole stereo system so you are in good shape. It really depends on how long you listen to music loud at a given time. Companies would like you to use about 100 aH worth of batts in the rear but i think you don't need really that much. for Powermaster, i think you could do fine with a D5100 or higher. Tryin to save you money here because you don't have to go all out with your setup. how is your electrical system now or have you not tried it yet?

Getting spl numbers up
was 44hz the loudest when you got metered? Did u just pick some random numbers or somethin? In my crown vic i used to have, i was tuned to 29hz and scored a 144.3 @ 31hz off of 1 15 and 667w of actual metered power off of a 1500w amp. But the actual Fs of the car that i later found out was 41hz. 31hz was louder than the Fs of the car because the peak of the box was so strong evidently...that and with be being tuned so low, it was near impossible to get to the higher notes effectively without a sudden roll off. Since you are tuned to 30hz, try notes right above that if you havent already.

ShiZZZoN's Build Log
ok, here's a pic showin a finally started on the box today... well not really. I just glued the baffles together. After it dries late tonight, i'll start workin on the box tomorrow for sure. Let's talk about another $100 in parts to brace the box... Hmm... car audio sure does cost money, hehe. Now, i'm no professional or god but do i have enough clamps to keep the baffles together?
