fuses.... what to use on high wattage.
That doesn't matter. Your alternator could be capable of producing 1 million watts and you could have a battery bank of a thousand batteries but if you don't have anything pulling current then no current will flow through the wiring.

fuses.... what to use on high wattage.
Or you could just drill out the pop rivets and put a 80 amp casing on a 250 amp fuse.

fuses.... what to use on high wattage.
Fuses pop or melt due to the heat generated by the current passi g thru them. A lower rated fuse will work for a burp bc the fuse doesn't have sufficient time to heat up.

So many components... Help please?
After being in the business for 12 years Focal is the only brand I recommend. I personally use the Polyglass series. Your not gonna find another car audio brand that puts as much design effort in their products. Focal's xovers are built well enough you can normally run them full range. Every high end vehicle install I've done was with Solid amps ran full range to Focal components.

1 amp on each sub in 1 box
A crossover is nothing more than a voltage limiter. So you'd use the AC voltage setting to find where the crossover is at. You shouldn't use the markings on amps for crossover settings anyway. Pots can be off upwards of 20%. Set amp with sub unhooked, the sub's capatance will alter voltage seen on the meter.

Are all "clean" watts created equal?
I'd like to see Audio Precision test the DD-1. Just to see if the algorithm it uses works properly.

Are all "clean" watts created equal?
Around 2003 Mark Fukuda (with RTTI) at the time had a display board set up with a cheap radio shack head unit, a highend head unit, and a Rockford headunit hooked to a RF amp. All units were gain matched at low volume with an Audio Precision meter and the board had a switch to change sources. You couldn't tell the difference in quality if it was on the high dollar head unit or the cheap radio shack one.

W6's are dual 4. And the slash series provide the same power from 1.5-4 ohm. Not to be mean but you should really do a little research before trying to help others out.
