  1. Xcons or zcons will work well in that box.
  2. When they make the "funny" sound does the amp go into protect?
  3. Good info. I +1 ya on that for the info share! He's a super cool dude and was personally recommended by Dr. Klippel as "the authority" for testing in the U.S. He has one of the newest Klippel testing equipment that they produce.
  4. But as said before if the subs have more than 20-25 BL T/S parameters will be worthless to you as they will not model correctly. Typically high BL subs will generate a peak at tuning frequency will a shallow knee below tuning.
  5. If you aren't trying to pinch pennies and want dead on specs google Redrock Acoustics. Patrick can give you full small and large t/s parameters with BL, THD, thermal, inductance, and a few more graphs off the top of my head for around 125 bucks.
  6. Google b-hive subwoofer motor. Tc sounds/audio pulse have used them as well
  7. 60 mill is a tad smaller than 1/16 of an inch. Using wood is completely different. You use wood to keep a panel from vibrating. You use cl tiles to keep the panel from resonationg, ie. Making noise.
  8. I've got a 21 basket on a dr motor I can take off and a dp motor but it doesn't have the plastic pole plug on it.
  9. Look into leap.
  10. I would much rather run a xcon 10 at half xmax with 2% distortion than squeeze more output out of a sub. Besides you wont get a box ported with his given max deminsions.
  11. If you liked the sound of the dcon I would jump up to an xcon. Same sound, twice as much output.
  12. Just curious, what's the cross-sectional area of the port and its length? And why the sub was loaded into a chamber?
  13. The problem with the comments in this tread is that most of the comments are from people too young to remember when a Sony amp had 2400 watts screen printed on the face of it. Then you would get uninformed customers asking why the 1000 watt JL was $1000 and the Sony was $239. CEA2006 stopped that type of manufacturer marketing.
  14. All that running and cardio you are doing are big no- nos if you are trying to gain mass. Looks like you are only getting about 50 grams of protien and maybe 1500 calories a day. You need to triple that. Don't buy protien powder bc there is no way your body can process it effectively given your size. (I'm 5'3" 165 pounds about 10 percent body fat). Start to add food in the morning. Don't change your diet, just add a little to it or you will get burned out. Hold off on the banana and add 6 egg whites to your breakfast. Then eat the banana when you get to school. If you add a hand full of food(or snacks), every hour or two you can increase your calorie intake alot. It has taken me years but I eat around 7000 calories a day. My typical breakfast includes 12 egg whites, 1/4 pound of cheese, 2 cups of cherios, and some type of meat. Then on my way to work(my drive is 1.5 hours) I'll eat two or three apples, banana's ect. I'll then eat a snack that's around 700 calories about every two hours. My lunch is a typical lunch. Then two more snacks during the day. If I am home for dinner I'll eat a large dinner with heavy pasta and about 2 pounds of meat, fish, or chicken. Then around 10 at night I'll eat 1/4 gallon of ice cream and nuts or fruit or I'll eat a dozen eggs
  15. **** would be the fastest route to go.
  16. On their home page they have an option for charities and fundraisers.
  17. Better yet set up an official donation account with paypal. They offer this, so that companies like myself can write it off as a charitable donation. And to show that it is a legit operation.
  18. It doesn't matter, if there is something drawing current on a wire the wire must be fused, if the length and diameter wire is rated at 300 amps then it needs a three hundred amp fuse. It is very possible for any amp to short out internally causing an open circuit between power and ground. Take a two feet length of zero gauge and short it out on a battery and see what happens.
  19. As said too many times already. Fuses on powerwire are to protect the vehicle in case there is some type of grounding to the vehicle chassis or if you are trying to pull too much current through it causing the jacket to melt and catching fire. This is really, really basic info. In fact one of the first things MECP teaches.
  20. Neo is great but it is expensive. Because China has put a choke hold on exports(they have one of the only supplies in the world) some prices have gone up 300 percent since last year. Plus neo is heat sensitive, it loses its magnetic force when extreme amounts of power is used Also our sub uses an 11 inch diameter, 44mm thick steel top plate bot to mention a massive steel 4 inch polepiece and 11 inch diameter backplate. So even if neo was used the amount of steel in the motor would defeat the purpose. The 2 inch thick 11 inch diameter ferrite magnet we are using produces plenty enough force, coupled with the fact it is xbl^2 enabled. Retained about 95% of its BL (about 34.5) all the way to 20-22mm it should be a nasty driver.
  21. If soundstream's specs are accurate. Our motor is projected to have 130% more motor force than the xxx 15 and 19% more motor force than their 18. This is with a 4 inch daily use coil (we will be recruiting the help of some seasoned competitors for spl specific recones). I only know of two subs that might have more motor force in the market today.
  22. Just got another update from my designer. Final softpart samples on the Genesis and initial samples for the divine high output woofer will be here in about 15 days.
