My new SAZ-1500D (Jacob, you're the best!) came in via UPS today. It just occurred to me that nobody has posted pics of the new heatsink for this model, so here you go! This is a crappy picture, but it shows off the upper heatsink.

Actually, it's very simple. I just took a hole saw and drilled through. Make sure to either do it above the tabs (on the back side) or centered between them. I actually had to bow the panel with my arm a bit while I screwed on the mounting nut. But it fits, just barely. Need pics?

Do you have dyslexia? I'm not trying to pick on you, but the last time I accused someone of typing as badly as you, it turns out they had a learning disability. This is a serious problem, and if you suffer from it, I'm proud of you for overcoming your handicap. -fp

He did a custom design for me, but I built it myself. Good to deal with, knows his stuff. I can't speak first-hand for the handiwork of his boxes, but the videos and pictures from his gallery suggest he does good work.
Actually, I can see where it would add some integrity. Biscuits by themselves aren't strong, but they increase the surface area for adhesion. I am not so sure. Being mdf likes to shatter when you cut it I don't think I'd try, in particular when the weak point is the mdf and not the glue anyways. The screws add integrity away from the joint and of course a biscuit would as well, I think the structural integrity you'd give up to get them in would be self defeating. I should have stressed could, not would. I'd like to think that using a quality biscuit joiner will cause no more structural distress than pre-drilling for screws. Sounds like another science project for audio-neon.

Congratulations! I'm lucky to be living close to denim here in the US. Without a good distributor, I probably never would have stumbled across Sundown Audio. Best of luck across the pond!
Love it. They're almost as loud as the single RL-i8 in my T-Box with the SAZ-1500D. It really accentuates the low-end and is very tight throughout. I can't wait to get that amp back from Jacob and see what sort of damage I can do.
Yeah, let me know when you're in the area. I'd like you to hear the new front stage layout too. No kidding!
