rice trick worked great.. about to order up all new wires for both amps and a small battery. cant wait to get this in..

finally got a decent highs amp, an older Precision power PPI2240. was supposed to get it installed today but my buddys girl spilled water on my radio face lastnight. i damn near cried. im praying like hell that the bag of rice trick works.

wired up and secured, sub should be here in a few hrs..

long story short the pioneer, DD 15, DLS coax, jensen 4 channel, and matts are gone. SO.. now its the cda-9815 with type-s 6.5 components. i have an alpine mrp-m350 coming tomorrow, and a sundown e8v3 arriving in a couple days. built the box already, .6 @ 35hz. an alpine mrv-f300 and mrv m500 in the near future would be nice. dont look too close, its my first box build lol. painting black tomorrow

well i ordered one of those obicon boxes off ebay to hold me over til i can get one built, and a knu 4ga kit to run the mmatts til i can get some big wire and big amp. then the 4ga will run my highs amp which is an old school jensen 100x4 with 2x25a fuses lol. can you tell i dont make as much money as i did in florida???

Thx all! i think the leads on the dd are 10ga but i could be wrong. I got a mmats d200hc on loan from a buddy until i can get something bigger, just need a box and power cable.

the only things i have done so far is a pioneer h/u, deadened my doors, MDF baffles for 6.5" DLS coax. i have an old jensen 10 awaiting a 4 channel to run highs/sub until i can get this DD going again. i'll probably order components 1st though, im looking at the AQ or whatever their new name is 6.5's

here she is,back home again. this sub bas been around and is still stiff as new. same kicker wire, same damage to the surround. i about flopped out when i saw it on craigslist.

Long time no see, SSA! Ive been out of the game since 08 when i sold off all my stuff.. Then i was browsing craigslist a cpl weeks ago and saw my old DD for sale, same exact one, 5 years later. Turns out the seller was fn awesome and cut me a crazy deal so im going to slowly get back in it. Cool part is i drive a 2dr explorer now instead of that lame malibu. 150s here i come..

1997 my 1st was a pioneer 10 in a wierd rectangle bandpass box with an la sounds malibu 100 and pioneer tape deck in a 93 altima. By '99 I had one of those double red surround vega 12's in a big sealed box with an old punch 60, pyramid sub xover and sony cd player with D bass! beatin! lmao i remember the first time i heard a cd player in a car it was amazing lol

customer service is one of the main reasons i bought another sundown after i sold my 1st to upgrade. im stayin with em now i love this amp, no one around here believes its only 1500w on 1 15" (theyre used to over rated equip.) also no one i know has heard of sundown and i love when they think its some off brand junk then chit when they hear it.

I have mine on the box with grommets between the 2. it's also in the bottom corner of the box behind the port where there's less flex. i havent had any problems at all, but the box is sturdy and braced good.

for real??? All I have to say is that the amp should have no problem with your electrical system. I am probably the most abusive to my saz-1500d's. I am running 2 strapped a @ 1 ohm (.5 per amp) off of an 80 amp alt and a factory battery, daily . If I didn't get scammed on my battery I would be doing better, but we all know how scamming goes. If I wasn't selling the car in september to a fellow competitor than a Kinetik 2400 would be going in followed by a 200 ampere dominic irragi alt. The next car will be a little better once I get around to doing audio in it, as it will be using a large body gm alternator which are everywhere.

ok its been more than a week but heres some random pics, i took the sub/box out and faced it back towards the rear, im done trying to get more numbers i wanna get low and flex chit, more fun to me i guess.. i pick up the sub amp in the morning and should have everything buttoned up hopefully. i also picked up a 2GB flash drive and ran it off the pioneer USB input and tucked it away in the dash it holds like 380 songs and for some reason sounds better than a CD in most cases box pics: no more 12ga. speaker cable.. got some kicker 8ga. i hope i get a decent gain with this rockford, its got tough shoes to fill after that sundown.
