I have managed to convince certain family members into getting 2 15" xcons for my xmas presents.....yay!

How about you extend this till I dunno feb maybe. Was planning on picking up 2 15" xcons.

I have a scion xb and i believe the engines are fairly similar. Might be newer camrys I dont know off the top of my head. But I used at most 7 feet. Although I would probably order 10 just to be on the safe side.

i had home depot cut my box for me and they had perfect cuts except 2 of the sides wer 1/2" too long but they were opposing panels so it really didnt make a difference.

You can check out the pioneer avh-3200bt. Or something like that. On ebay they're going just over 300. Can find them used 2-250. I was looking into picking one up soon.

I believe mines just the 320hp with the 15 volt upgrade.

Yeah sorry forgot to post it. Got it in monday. Had a shop do it cus there was no way I was going to. Only cost me 80 bucks. Sit at 15.09 volts at idle. 14.9 at back battery. At 2k rpms and under heavy bass it goes to 14.6 at the lowest at the back battery. Def loving this alt.

Anyone have any experience with this head unit? Looks nice and the features seem pretty good for a double din. Can be had for under 350 new and about 250 used. So has anyone tried this one out, or has anyone had problems with it? Would like to step up to a dvd head unit and this seems like a decent deal. Don't really want to spend too much (around 300 max) so that I can save up for some xcons. Also I could give a crap about ipods. I use either my zune or the pioneer cd-ub100 with a portable hard drive for music (which this deck has the plug in for it)

My cargo area in my scion xb gen2 is about 38*17*20" if that helps at all.

Well I've never been in crashes but I have fallen asleep at the wheel many times, friends don't let me drive at night anymore. Worst one was I managed to drive up an off ramp for the opposing lane. Yeah got lucky on that one.

I'm with you there! I always got after my mom for speeding and such, I was really cautious in high school...after driving for a while and especially in Salt Lake City I don't drive as cautious anymore Me too. In particular when I got pulled over doing 117 in a 30. I got 110 in a 55. It was 2 weeks after oregon made a law that anything over 100 was automatic was a 1k fine. Had a buddy in the car so I got reckless driving also. So in total it was about 1350 in fines, lost my license for 3 months, and insurance was about 300 bucks a month after that. Needless to say I only go 5 over the limit max now.

It's all good Rob. Like I told you before I didn't have to have it right away so it was no biggie waiting. Now I just have to hope this storm doesn't roll in tomorrow like the news is saying.

Bass was that ported or sealed. Sounds impressive though.

I did use to have a 15 fi bl sub up port up and it rocked pretty good. Also doing it this way for security purposes seeing as all anyone will see when looking in the back window is the top of a black box. Btw any pics or build logs of that xb? Seems so hard to find anyone putting a system in these things.

Yeah duran I tried the upfiring with my fi q and it just seems to sound better and feel better firing into the hatch door. I took that into account with the length measurement being only 17 inches. If I went to the door it would be 20 or 21 inches. Yeah shogen I knew that but have seen used 3ks around sites. Also didn't know if the 3.5k would be too much with the system running at 15.1 volts.

Trying to plan my system for when taxes come in. Trying to find out if I can fit two of these in my xb. Will be sealed cus I suck at making ported boxes and not sure if 2 sealed will fit or not. Measured the cargo area to be 7.49cf if I did my math right. Area was 38*20*17 for dimensions. Could go an inch or two higher on the height (20). Hopefully powered by a saz3000d. Dc 320 amp alt. Just trying to figure out how much to save up before taxes come. Also I would have to order d1 coils for that amp right?
