Help with my front stage.
Strong mid bass, loud, with a "mellow" high end. I'm not terribly picky I just want it to sound good to me, and I'm no expert.

Help with my front stage.
Thanks for your input! I hope you get done soon too so you can let me know how it turns out. The mid and tweeter will be in the door just below the window within ~6 inches of each other.

Help with my front stage.
So I've been debating on how to do my front stage for a while, and would appreciate some help. I currently have an 880prs for the processing and 8 channels of amplification to work with. I have an arc 400.4 and an older cadence ZRS-4. These are the drivers that I have http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-352 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=277-035 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-376 I need help with crossover points. One of my latest ideas was to ditch the tweeter and run the full range higher. (Is it possible to have it play that high, or a bad idea?) I know that I'm probably leaving out vital information but hopefully I've listed enough to get started. Thanks, Rick

sundown audio sa-8's tinsel leads burning
I think what he meant was that a low ssf setting won't "burn" the leads, BUT his ssf is still way too low. Meaning he didn't burn the leads because of the ssf setting but either way he should adjust it so he doesn't have other problems down the road. I could be misinterpreting what was said though.

Do I Need Longer Aero Ports?
do you think he can do 2 6" on the back side.... then 1 6" on the left side and 1 6" on the right side ?? In my opinion the only way to do it "right" is to build a new enclosure with a slot port. I wouldn't do the ports on different planes.

Do I Need Longer Aero Ports?
Four 4's will be better obviously, but still not enough in my opinion.

I had a feeling they would be Z's. They are great looking subs that I'd like to hear someday.

Do I Need Longer Aero Ports?
Ok.If i do a box that is 16 tall x 35 wide x 23 deep and 3 6" aero's it looks like i would have to have each port be 42" long.So how could i do this??? External port, or use a slot port.

Do I Need Longer Aero Ports?
Do three 6" aeros rear firing. You will need a new box or external port, as the volume taken up by the port is going to increase by a lot.

Do I Need Longer Aero Ports?
That would be much better, but I would use even more if possible.
