This is my buddies Mazda 6 that we recently finished. It is two Planet Audio BB2 15's powered by an SPL FX1-5500D. Not bad for the total cost of this Sub stage.

I don't see why? Fi's specs for the sp4 say 3-5cf for the enclosure. The box is currently 8cf so it falls within the fi specs. I want to keep the variables as few as possible between the two set ups. It should be okay man. The only thing that I would worry about would be bracing. It was built for two xcon 15's on a lot less power, so you might want to throw an extra brace or two in. Nice scores btw!

From my experience with my car I agree 100%.

I agree going overkill doesn't hurt as long as you account for the displacement. As far as the bracing in the 8 Sa twelves box I agree with you, even though it is double baffled I would brace it.

What amp are you running? What does your final impedance need to be?

Having your seats down will help by letting the sound into the cabin. Typically you should only face the subs into the cabin if you seal off the trunk, but all cars are different.

Why are you set on running a bandpass enclosure in your trunk? I'm assuming that you are going to seal the trunk from the cabin?
