  1. With the upgrades, the SSD should be fine on the SAE-1000D.
  2. For the most part, yes. All three subs are meant for great sound in daily driving situations. They each excel with slightly different power and enclosure size, and in some cases, tuning. Either way, you are going to get a great sub.
  3. Looks good now that I saw the full pictures. The Navigation already knows your name. The interior looks to be a serious improvement over the previous model. Pondering how long it will be until she wants wheels. You could go light weight wheels to help reducing unsprung weight and improve milage even more.
  4. They look great, and love the surfboard.
  5. Glad you got pictures and you love the sound now.
  6. Ok there are to many ssaudio's on ssaudio.
  7. Oh wow, you did buy it for real!
  8. I replyed to your PM.
  9. We also have a gallery here that once you make your own picture album, then upload the pictures, you just right click for file name and post the file name with tags.
  10. As I don't have your car to test with, I cannot say for sure. There are a few different schools of thought. One is to fire the sub rearward to help with wave length distance, the other is to face forward for an at the listener point.
  11. Fly down and I will take you in and around DC one Friday afternoon, oh say about 4:15ish sound good?
  12. I noticed you did not ask me. Haha, but yes I totally agree about the big posters. I have been there a while and majority of time is spent in the main sections. But yeah, what he could do with that site, and what is being done are two totally different things. He gets high payout with little work.
  13. Who, me? I think for the most part I agree with the choices made. I think. Not re-electing Steve should be a crime, though. It'll stay a cesspool regardless of good or bad moderation, because it's lacking an admin that gives a chit. Nothing will change unless that does... And sadly that may be true. I'm not sure i agree with all the choices, including possibly myself. But i'm happy to do the job and will do my best to fulfill the requisite duties to the best of my abilities. I find myself spending much more time lurking here and on diyma lately, however. Something i was not counting on. But i needed information and these two sites are much more robust. I will be trying to start more technical discussions over there as i work on my SQ build and hope some of the members who have disbanded will join, perhaps we can set a good example. At any rate, i will always come to this site when i want civil discussion and a fantastic resource. The italicized sentences are always good to hear.
  14. I agree, steveo should have stayed on. But oh well. A bunch of the CA mods chat in here anyway.
  15. Been there a while, and used to be really active. Now it is more pick and choose a thread that I might know a little about.
  16. On this day in 1998, the first module of the International Space Station, Zarya, was launched. In 1985, Microsoft Windows 1.0 was released. In 1984, SETI was founded. In 1983 in the U.S., an estimated 100 million people watched the controversial made-for-television movie The Day After, depicting a nuclear war and its effects on the United States. And in 1974, the United States Department of Justice filed its final anti-trust suit against AT&T, which led to the break up of AT&T and its Bell System. Happy Birthday Mike D (1965), Sean Young (1959), Mark Gastineau and Bo Derek (1956), Joe Walsh (1947), Duane Allman (1946-1971), Dick Smothers (1939), Robert F. Kennedy (1925-1968), Jim Garrison (1921), Alistair Cooke (1908-2004) and Edwin Hubble (1889-1953). Welcome to SSA Eric.
  20. For your 2 ohm amp, as Tom explained above, the Dual 1 ohm ICON the one you are looking for. (model ICON15D1) As for tuning, I personally don't like to suggest anything above 34hz for daily. So if you want a nice mix of output with out losing the bottom end, shoot for between 29 & 34hz.
  21. The thing is, he has been here long enough to make it his own system. I feel his ego and arrogance has gotten the better of him in times of making the right decisions. Speaking of the CFL, I went to the very first Baltimore Stallions CFL game at the old memorial stadium before the Ravens existed.
  22. The Ravens have had plenty of fast wide receivers, but not that many with great hands, if only Mason would run farther then 7 yards, and they would stop sending Heap over the middle to make a hospital catch. In addition, Bollers arm has never been lacking, the play calling to let him us it has, not to mention his happy feet and lack of protection. He is a tough kid, I think if he did not bounce back up so fast after the hard hits, more penalties would be called. But oh the irony of Billick being the Offensive master mind, and Marvin Lewis being the Defensive Guru, and the total opposite out comes from their respective teams. The problem is Billick is thinking that the Ravens are going to set up the run with the pass (time and time again throwing on 2nd and 1 & 3rd and 1), when the converse is the superior way. The Ravens are built to be an old style, physical team, who beats you up on defense and runs the football right at you. Oh and Derek Anderson being a Raven and they let him go, only to get burned by him twice, and keep the guy they kept over him on the bench.
  23. I am from Hunt Valley, but we live in Harford County. My best friend lives on Clay street in Annapolis.
  24. They look to be promising drivers, I would love a pair. As for the Icons mounting depth, that has been the one issue a few people have had.
