  1. How would you compare it to the RLp 12 I know you have use 1 in the past. 2nd with only 800wrms which way would you go 1-12 sealed or maybe 1 10 ported. I do like the sound of sealed. But I trust what you have to say I have not been around in a while but I have taken your advice in the past. Thanks MJ I have not tested the ICON against my RL-p. I love both subs, but they are somewhat different in design, I do have a triple stack RL-p, but after that they really don't share much in common. With 800watts, that is plenty for both sealed or ported. After some testing and box adjustment for sealed design, I really like the ICON 12 in a .9 to 1.1 cube box. The pair of 10's ported would be a good mix of output and SQ when space is an issue. They are some of the beefiest 10's out now.
  2. We would rather let the customers describe it. I know and love the ICON, as I do the MAG and RL-p. The Q is a top notch driver also, but we have not tested the ICON against any of them. All my testing of the ICON was to make sure it was going to do what we wanted it to do and hold up to some abuse and have the best sound we could get in the target price range.
  3. We are going to let the performance speak for itself. The ICON has only been out a very short time, and there is not enough people that own it yet to give a review, but relax there will be some very shortly.
  4. Also when to use; "bizkits and greyveee"
  5. As of yesterday, I am doing a little more then 140 but of the choices I vote #1.
  6. Orion, pulls some current full boogie, but great amp.
  7. Love the dark wood.
  8. Let me move this to the Fi section.

  11. Thank you guys so much for all the happy b-days. It is a rough number to accept but oh well. Amanda had a big sunrise party for me and a few of my college friends and work friends came, along with some family. Was an exhausting day followed by a long SPL build day yesterday. Thanks again guys!
  12. Mark, also talk to Troy Audio, he is in the area and a good installer.
  13. Put the new Sundown subs up on the shop. Look like promising little subs based on specs alone. Makes me want to a 10" comparo hosted by SSA.

  15. They are made to be a no-nonsense woofer for a good price I have been playing with them for a while but kept them quiet as a suprise announcement! I really want to try a pair of the 12" models IB in a rear deck. The "E Series" is still coming... but I needed these sooner due to the extremely shallow depth. I was seeing a LARGE demand for a good shallow mount 10" woofer and decided to do a 12" version as well. That is true, the QTS of the 12 looks to be good for IB or nice sealed. SSA needs to do a 10" sub challenge and 18" sub challenge too for that matter.
  16. SD-1 10" SD-1 12"
  17. Good looking subs.
  18. Crystal, Kicker, JBL, ID, Focal etc.
  19. Dude im so confused right now Ok, what part are you confused about? We will help out. if im not going to get any of these what is the best subs amp and speakers that i can get at an auto shop The Sundown 100.4 and SD-1's for amp and subs is a very good option money wise. The MB Quart speakers are a strong choice also. You will be hard pressed to find that quality of equipment for near that price. Cant u just suggest whats good that the caur audio shop will have please cause im so confused bout what to do that im thinking bout just saying fudge it That is such a wide open question. It all depends on the shop and what they carry and how bad their mark up is. I fell Kicker/Orion/RF/Crystal are a few companies with great options that some shops would carry. But none are cheap.
