  1. A second Icon will definitely move up the output.
  2. What is your vehicles resonant frequency? Do you know off hand? That will effect the sub woofer's sweet spot.
  3. A flatter response from a speaker means essentially a more even level of output from the frequencies it is being allowed to play. A larger enclosure and lower tuning will aid in flattening the response and help a little on deepest of notes (more efficient design), but like mentioned above, power handling is effected. But then again, there is the advantage of cabin gain (transfer function) in a vehicle. I should ask why you feel the need to run that much power, are you planning to compete? Reason being, we have people with 10" Dcon's on less then 1/3rd the power you are running, that have their side and rear view mirrors rendered useless when the volume is up. So output on the Icon, in most respects as it is relative to each persons preference, should be quite good when ported with that much power. If you feel the need to run 2000+ watts, the Zcon is very impressive.
  4. The Icon should be doing that with ease.
  5. I can sleep tonight!!!!
  6. We used to offer an aluminum coil option, but with the all new motor design, the copper coil is quite good with it. There would need to be a slight suspension adjustment due to the different moving mass. Are you just looking for more thermal? I ask as the thermal limits went way up on the new Icon due to inheriting the method of cooling from it's big brother Xcon.
  7. The reason why it can't work: - the gap is different - the coils are different - rear ward clearance is different - motor force is different - moving mass is different etc. etc. Essentially, the Xcon coil would slam into the back of the Icon back plate.
  8. Please give us a little review on those comps.
  9. Wait, what? You stay behind, just like that?
  10. If that is after port and driver displacement, 3.6 cubes per is good. The Xcon's have big time motor force and displacement.
  11. Looks really nice. Can't wait to see the finished install.
  12. Got to be hard to pick up a speaker that weighs as much as you.
  13. Yes, what Julian said. They are down on man power and had been short on parts, but parts are back in and they are working feverishly to catch up.
  14. Update, 2 more speakers will be shipping out to you shortly, sorry for any mix up.
  15. We got your email, we are waiting to hear back from Crescendo. We will update you as soon as we do.
  16. Mine just rolls around in my hatch.
  17. Would need to do this for a couple of months straight for a clean sample set. Usually doing 5 super sets of 12-15 reps each.
  18. Zimzam!
  19. Today is back and shoulders with some legs. go get em! Killed it, went down 10% on weight and really slowed my pace. Shooting for more reps or just going slower. If so why? My reps have been high for a while, with so much soccer and ultimate frisbee, it is a little counter productive to stay heavy / long rest / short rep. So I have gradually been doing a little lighter and upping the reps a little while slowing the pace during reps but decreasing rest between. It is more so to change up the work out and get a deep burn and focus on form. I don't need to add any more mass, already a thick tank for my frame as it is. So lean down a little and work on definition some more.

  21. I'm jealous of that set up.
  22. I'm not sure how or why you gathered that from the site, but I fail to see any real objective information that seems to substantiate that judgment. Hell, they guess at the Xmax of the Z based on nothing more than mechanical noise.......LOL. It simply looks to me like they took more time to subjectively review the Z than they did the Xcon. I'm not saying the Xcon is the best choice or a better sub, just suggesting that your interpretation of that site and it's information is a little inaccurate, IMO. That’s fair, it is probably an amateurs interpretation of what I was reading. These are some of the things that made me think the z was more capable. Xcon made mechanical noise. Z had demodulation rings. Z has a pole vent. Z has 8 layer coil. Z has 9 inch spider vs 8. All of those things may mean nothing or maybe something, I don’t really know. Just sounded like a better thought out driver that based on their description was very well built. Just a different design. The Xcon now has a solid pole which leads to improved cooling and greater motor force over it's initial design. It has some very trick spiral CNC machined cooling channels. It also has a shorting ring in the motor, a massive coil, Nomex spiders and sandwiched leads etc. etc.
